Riley Burnfield
'You think he will be around here?' Kekashi thought to Riley as he hid in the trees of the forest. Riley smiled showing sharp clean teeth, 'Lily told me he would be here, plus if he's not then she knows she just told me her death note' He replied to his friend. Sure Riley was Kiro's brother, but he killed his mother and Riley was a hunter he showed no mercy. 'Well then let's sit and wait' Riley really did not have the patients. But he sat there and looked at the path.
Riley burnfield, a good member of the hunters. Sure, his tailsman was a measly fox, but he could take care of the small jobs. Such as spying, or killing wuickly or lieing since those were his specialties. He was skilled, let alone knew another language that he used often to talk to himself. He was getting a bit impatient.
'What exactly did Lily say? I was half asleep when she spoke to you' Kekashi inturrupted Riley's thoughts. Lily had no tailsman she was a new recruit to his team, but he life would be short lived and everyone knew that. 'She told me he was with another girl, and they were going to her house.' He thought back and relaxed against the branch he was on. 'Why not wait till they get to the house, follow them?' Kekashi suggested. 'No, no time you know how impatient I am' Riley said and his tailsman nodded silently in his head.
Kiro nettlesun
Kiro stood up and streched his arm, "unfortunatly with my sword I can't be an eagle for now. And I don't plan on leaving it here." He started outside following Cleo watching the rain fall to the ground. He liked the rain, and it would not help that he could not fly in the rain anyway. He looked at the rain as he caught some in his hand. He actually liked the rain a lot.
'You know, we better get a move on.' Kido thought flying in the rain in a thin mist. 'That's for you to say, who's gonna chase us in the rain?' Kiro thought back. Yes it was a silly question, but at least it was an answer. 'Umm, a lot of people' Kido cawwed.' You made your point' Kiro replied and stepped down the steps.
"Well, we better get going"Kiro suggested and started to wlak down the path. He waited for Cleo to follow. Was she going to be in her dog form? After all it would be nice to see what her tailsman looked like. After all Kiro was an animal person anyway but he wa not for foxes. Because, his brother was a fox, so he had some sort of grudge against foxes oes that were not human anyway. Besides, he hated his brother for plenty of reasons.

Cleo followed Kiro into the woods, stretching as she walked. When she was far enough in that she couldn't be seen she shifted into her dog form, gratefully stretching her muscles. Her world was suddenly different, sharper. Her hearing was much better, so was her smell. She inhaled deeply, smelling the forest. She hadn't noticed how nice Kiro smelled. She shook her huge, furry head at the thought, her tongue lolling out.
Cleo padded up to Kiro's side, her head butting his stomach. Her shoulders easily reached his waist. He was suddenly so weak and breakable. She chuckled, a deep, throaty sound. And then she turned, walking through the forest, her great bushy tail wagging. She bounced along, quickly leaving Kiro behind. She'd forgotten how good it felt to run, to stretch all of her muscles. She was far ahead before she remembered Kiro. She skidded to a stop, whining slightly at having her run cut short.
And then she raced back, panting slightly. She inhaled deeply and stopped suddenly, scanning the forest. Someone else was here... a malicious presence. She looked around, not seeing anything. Her ears pricked and she inhaled again, waiting and watching. Cleo was suddenly nervous, her excitement gone. She darted back to where Kiro was, almost running into him. She didn't want to shift back into human form, to loose the new scent. Instead she stood by Kiro's side, almost leaning on him. Hopefully he got that something was wrong, that somebody was here, watching.

Riley Burnfield
Riley twiddled around with a dagger, watching the rian fall but at the same time watching his reflection on the silver weapon. 'So how do you plan on getting rid of the girl?' Kekashi asked her gray tail hanging from the branch above him. 'Same, as last time, I figure it would work.' Riley bit his lower lip and stuck the dagger in the trunk of the tree. 'You gonna kill him this time instead of letting him suffer? Although watching him suffer longer would be nice' Kekashi jumped onto Riley's lap and curled her tail around her paws her head misty eyes devious.
'Well, when you put it that way' Riley started putting his hand behind his neck. 'We'll see how it goes first, you have to remember the troop is not commanded by me anymore they follow that stupid Hail man.' Kekashi giggled shrugging her fluffy gray shoulders. The fox jumped onto Riley's head Starring him in the face upside down. 'So your being all optimistic on me now?' she asked with a grin across her face.
Riley sat up and took the dagger out of the tree trunk and crouched down to watch a dog run below him sniffing the ground. 'That's the girl?' Kekashi snarled jumping from Riley's head to the edge of the branch. 'Just be quiet, she may be able to scent us, but able to see us' Riley said keeping his weapon close to his hand. He narrowed his eyes and waited as the dog left running further down the path. 'Do you think?' Kekashi asked as Riley starred at the ground.
Kiro nettlesun Kiro continued to walk as he watched Cleo run ahead to shift out of his site. He sighed hands in his pockts as he continued down the path. 'It's been awhile, why not shift?' Kido asked flying just above Kiro's head. 'Because, you won't be able to fight with the sword. Let alone fly' Kiro replied feeling the handle of it. He sighed and waited for Cleo to come back in her dog form. Although, it seemed strange how long she was taking.
'She's coming back no, stop being so paranoid' Kido said flapping his wings once before resuming his gliding position. Cleo ran down and jumped onto his leg, Kiro lifted his hand up in the air and fell down she was practically on his chest. 'She's scented something, probably' Kido suggested folding his wings against the ground. 'It's Riley' Kiro guessed and stood up. "Stay here" He told Cleo sternly almost as if it was an order.
Kiro took off his sword putting it against a tree, "I want to scout for a moment you stay here" He told Cleo once more and ran ahead out of sight for a bit. He quickly shifted and Kido vanished into a mist. He flapped his wings higher and until he spotted him, in the tree. 'This can't be good. He must have been watching us at the cafe to know we are here' He thought to himself and quickly turned back. This was not good at all, it was probably an ambush. He landed and shifted back, although it was lucky he had extra clothes, since he landed in the mud. Quickly changing he ran back.
"It's Riley, he's a hunter" Kiro told Cleo and grabbed his sword, he quickly thought of a plan. "I want you to walk along like your my dog, act natural he's probably going to ambush and if he is get ready to fight" Kiro put his sword on his back and started to walk along the path again, hoping this plan would work. He knew it would work, this was not going to end in distaster.

Cleo got off of Kiro quickly, mentally apologizing for basically sitting on him. She was sure 200 pounds of wet dog wasn't the most pleasant thing to have on top of you. She listened to his words with a mixture of apprehension and indignation. It seemed he forgot that, compared to her, he was still just a kid. And yet here he was giving out orders. But she still obeyed them, sitting down, waiting. Wood was watchful, hoping that this didn't become violent. Malamute's weren't violent dogs, it wasn't in their nature. And neither was Cleo. But they'd fight if they had to, if there was no other option.
Then Kiro was back, in new clothes. She listened to his words with growing apprehension. "Great." she though sarcastically. To Kiro she just nodded her big head and walked beside him, leaning into him comfortingly. She really did hate violence. She'd much rather sit on the assailant than bite him. Though, if Riley was anything like Kiro was, that seemed impossible. She sighed, a peculiar thing for a dog. She sniffed the air, watching for the threat.
She spotted him up in a tree, hidden from view. She growled slightly and her ears laid back, making a very intimidating figure. Malamutes may be horrible guard dogs by nature, but in looks they fit the bill almost exactly. She just hoped that's all they would need. She stepped in front of Kiro, putting herself between Riley and her new friend. She hoped to god that Kiro's worries in the coffee shop weren't proved right. Not so soon. Not ever.

Riley Burnfield
'They know we're here' Kekashi yipped and twisted her head at Riley. He almost chuckled, "When have I ever seen my brother with a dog, one that happens to be a tailsman" he joked and put the dagger into the branch. 'So what do you suggest we do?' Kekashi snorted shaking her head and turned towards the two on the ground. "Well we know one thing for sure, Lily is dead because she did not tell me where their next location was" he whispered with a smile across his face. Riley stood up his foot pressed against the branch.
Riley jumped down from his branch, looking scared almost he had already thought out the plan to Kekashi and they both agreed on it. Since, of course he was a very good lier this would work as they thought. "You have to get out of her Kiro, this place is not safe" Riley told him shaking his brother in a pleading voice. The people after him were the mothers group so those were the ones after him.
"The troops found out about you, I promised not to tell them because your my brother, but now they're coming here. They're after me." Riley pointed to himself in panic almost half believing himself at that point. It was true he was devious and hated his brother for killing his mother and father, but he was family. That was why he never killed him but he still liked to see him suffer.
The plan was going as planned, even though the troop would not be pleased. Unless Kiro was dead, they would always be mad at Riley as they always were. Riley did as he please, he was his ownself and his life was as twisted as he wanted. Sure, love was reasonable but not for him, he would not be torn like his brother was not to mention he was older then Kiro as well.
I'll Have kiro left out of this post.

Cleo did as any dog would do and stayed at Kiro's side, watching the figure in the tree. When he jumped down, looking scared, Cleo was confused. "Maybe... he's not here to fight?" she thought hopefully. Wood was a bit more cynical in his reply. "Why else would he come, dear Cleo? Look at Kiro's body language. I don't think he likes this guy at all." Cleo knew her talisman was right and so she watched Riley, another teenager, with a new suspicion in her eyes.
Then Riley spoke of getting Cleo out of her, talking, once again, as if she was the child. There would be none of that. Cleo put her ears back and snarled at the boy, stepping forwards. Just because she hated fighting didn't mean she couldn't bluff. When the kid said he was Kiro's brother Cleo was surprised, and it must have shown on her face. She stopped snarling but stayed where she was, glaring at Riley.
"Who's after Kiro?" she asked Wood. "I dunno." he thought back, intent on watching Riley. He didn't trust the words Riley said, though if he was lying, he was a wonderful liar. Cleo did believe him, wanted too, it was in her nature. Malamutes are known for being loving and gentle, trusting and loyal. She didn't want to believe Riley would do anything bad. Why would he? He was Kiro's brother after all. Cleo had been very close with her brother, she couldn't imagine it any other way. "Well then, we'll just have to watch and see." Wood thought calmly. [/blockquote]

Kiro Nettlesun
'Don't believe him, when has he ever betrayed the hunters let alone the troops. After all, he has pulled tricks like this before.' Kido said. Kiro was almost stunned his hand on his swords handle. He wanted to believe him, everything would be alright he wanted to say but he knew it was a lie. Kiro let go of the swords handle and put his hands on his older brothers shoulders. 'What do I do?' he thought to Kido just looking at his brothers face. 'Do what a leader would do, protect your people. Push aside the fact he's your brother for once.' Kiro closed his eyes and lowered his head a bit. 'I can't' He replied and let go of his brothers shoulders.
"You think you can fool me just like that Riley? You've been with the hunters let alone the troops ever since mom died, not caring what happened to our father. What do you want this time, to rip me apart again. Or is it that Kekashi wants to see me suffer." Kiro said hands clenched in a fist, he would use it if he had to. 'I hope you know what your doing.' Kiro looked at Riley with a stern face. "Don't you know that you're your own person, you don't always have to listen to your tailsman." he whispered, knowing it would not help him.
'Your putting yourself at risk, calm yourself down. You snap to easily under pressure. Don't mess this up now, plus Cleo is here to help she may be a girl but she is older then you. Don't treat her like a kid.' Kiro just noticed that, Cleo was not a kid like him. It was not like she didn't knew how to take care of herself. He calmed down a bit but still kept himself on guard as Cleo started to growl. Yes, this was his brother.

Cleo listened to Kiro's words with apprehension. She decided to believe her friend rather than his brother. She sat down and watched Riley, looking for any signs of attack. He didn't look like he was about to do anything so her eyes flicked back to Kiro. She felt like his big sister, like she had to watch out for him. She wouldn't let him be right about what he'd said in the cafe. He couldn't be right. That would just be... wrong. So when he stepped up to Riley she growled a bit, her eyes wary.
Then Kiro spoke again and Cleo felt suddenly like an outsider. This was almost like a hear to heart talk. "Just sit." Wood said, giving advice like he always does. She did as she was told, watching quietly. She assumed Kekashi was Riley's talisman. "Doesn't seem like a very nice fellow." She thought absently. Wood agreed but wondered what kind of talisman would be so mean. He couldn't decide and gave up, instead looking around the forest. The rain had stopped and the animals were coming back out.
Just then a rabbit shot across the path behind Riley and Wood lunged for it, making Cleo run after the poor thing. The instinct had taken over and before Cleo knew what was happening Riley and Kiro were out of sight. "Dammit Wood!" she snapped after stopping herself. He was apologetic and Cleo turned around, digging her claws into the soft earth. A strange sense of worry entered her as she ran back to Kiro. "Stupid stupid stupid!" she scolded both herself and Wood. Hopefully they weren't to late. Hopefully nothing had gone wrong. [/blockquote]

Riley Burnfield
'You know he has a point Kekashi, I still have my own mind.' Riley just caught the voice of what his brother said. He looked at the sky, as the rain started to thin out into a slight sprinkle. 'Oh great your turning into an innocent.' Kekashi snorted curling her tail around his neck softly. Her red glaring eyes locked on Cleo, although she was not doing anything really. 'I'm bored, and whenever do I get to play the guitar?' Riley thought scornfully crossing his arms. 'Just spy on him then' Kekashi rolled her eyes. 'Your so stupid' Riley replied and pulled out his dagger. Showing it to Kiro he dropped it into the ground, as a sign he was not here to kill him.
Riley watched as Cleo ran off after a rabbit, 'I would have gone for a bird' Kekashi though and Riley nearly laughed. As much as he hated to get involved with Cleo, after all he hated being with others he did not know well being the shy part of himself. "Your smart" He told Kiro and leaned against a tree. "I'm not here to kill you, you can say I'm on vacation. The Hunters don't care anyway, they hate my way of work. They're the ones who want you dead." Riley said and watched as Cleo returned.
'Your a moron' Kekashi snorted, Riley smacked his tailsman in the head. 'That means you are too' he snorted in his thoughts then returned to his position. "I'm just here to tell you this, they don't know your here. But, they plan to scout this area soon. The troops, I have no idea where they are so watch out for them." Riley said simply and turned his back about to leave. 'Your passing up an opportunity' Kekashi snarled. Riley turned again, "Good luck with that" he said before he started to leave pointing toward Cleo.

Cleo ran back to Kiro's side, coming dangerously close to Riley. Then she was the dagger lying on the ground and she picked it up with her mouth, before sitting at Kiro's side once again. She watched Riley go, glaring after him. She really didn't like him. Right after he pointed at her Cleo growled and shifted into her human form, dropping the dagger. It was bad enough having it in her mouth as a dog. Then she glared at Riley, who was now just a bit shorter than herself. "I suppose you want your dagger back?" Her voice had a peculiar, hard edge to it.
She kicked the dagger to Riley contemptuously before looking at Kiro. There was concern in her eyes, but also a hard determination. He seemed fine, she knew he was fine. And so she turned back to Riley, raking a hand through her dark hair. "I suppose you had someone spy on us? In the cafe? Who?" There had been a number of people in the little shop, most of them Cleo had recognized. She was curious about how Riley knew they were coming. [/blockquote] (OOC- Sorry it's so short. My friend's over and she's bugging me.)

Kiro nettlesun
'He is your brother." Kido said, but what has happened so far Riley could not be trusted. Kiro did not say or think anything for a moment. He just stepped back a bit, he could not believe it. Why would his brother warn him about this? Let alone tell them who spied on them, he had no idea what he was doing right at this moment. It was just too much pressure on him.
'Calm down Kiro, I don't want you to faint on me' Kido pleaded flying in mid air in front of Kiro's eyes. "I..." Kiro started instead of speaking in thought. He collasped on the ground, he felt it coming. Darkness took him for this time.
Riley burnfield
Riley spread out his arms like he had no idea. "She was blond, with a green sweater. The waiter" He said grabbing his dagger a big grin across his face. He turned to leave, 'Your stupid' Kekashi snarled. Riley ignored. Kiro was still his brother and he was being a bit sneaky too. Putting his brother under pressure would make him collaspe.
"By the way, I didn' poisen him" Riley said but never turned around hearing a thud after his brother had collasped on the ground. 'She has no idea what is in store for them. She has just signed a treaty with danger at every turn.' Riley thought and Kekashi walked beside him a bit satisfied. They continued down until they were out of sight.

Cleo watched Kiro fall with horror in her eyes. She just glanced at Riley, making sure he really was leaving, before looking back at Kiro. She kneeled beside him, her hair falling in a dark curtain around her face. She put her hand to his cheek after rolling him onto his back, shaking him gently. "Kiro? Wake up." "What the hell?" she asked Wood. "I dunno. Just stay calm. He'll come round... I think." he replied, eying the boy with concern.
Cleo shook Kiro again before sitting back, watching the boy with concern. She didn't want to leave him but what if he didn't wake up?... It'd be all her fault. After all she was the one responsible for him now, she'd vowed to protect him. So far she'd done a very bad job. "Cleo... you can't blame yourself." Wood thought, always the one thinking rationally. She just shook her head, waiting and watching, a concerned frown on her face. [/blockquote]

'Kiro, you need to wake up' Kido thought. Kiro just stayed in his position for a few moments. He felt as if though he knew he didn't wanted to die, even though this was what happened when he was put under a lot of pressure. Let alone, it being his brother, why had he spared him anyway. Why did he let Cleo go?
"I'm sorry" Kiro whispered but kept his eyes closed. This always happened, what sort of leader was he. He tried his best, but even then he always resulted in failure to himself. "This is so stupid. I should have never dragged you into this" He added openening his eyes.
'Don't blam yourself Kiro, this was Riley's fault' Kido said landing on Kiro's chest. 'Your a good kid, and don't you forget that.' Kiro smiled. 'A good kid huh, if I was a good kid I would have a family and I would go to school have a normal life.' Kido tilted his head sadly. 'Listen to yourself, you sound like your going to give up. Cleo is here to help, she is not a burden nether are you' Kido flapped his wings urgently
Kiro was surprised for a moment that Cleo was still here. "Did I freak you out, sorry if I did." he said rubbing his hands against his face. Kiro sat up, even though he still felt dizzy. This was stressful, but maybe he would just have to deal with it. Like he had for 5 years maybe even more.

At Kiro's whispered apology Cleo shook her head but sighed in relief at the same time. He wasn't dead! "Well of course he's not... he just fainted." Wood thinks, sighing. At Kiro's next words Cleo shakes her head again, a bit more vigorously. "You didn't drag me into anything. I kept bugging you, remember? And I'm still going to keep bugging me. You can't get away that easily." Her voice was firm, or as firm as she could be at the moment. She wasn't sure if she should touch him or not so instead of doing anything she just sat, watching him. Hopefully he'd sit up or something. "Oh Wood! I suck at this whole... medical thing. I'm more of a... mental person." Woods head just shakes, a slight chuckle rumbling through him.
Then he tilts his head sadly, obviously having a conversation with his talisman. She stays still, not wanting to disrupt anything. "He'll come around on his own time." Wood reassured her, "In the meantime, you better check and make sure Riley is really gone. You and I both know he'll be coming back." Cleo nodded and looks around, scrutinizing every bush and every tree. Nothing seemed to be abnormal and so her eyes flick back to Kiro, who's still lying on the ground.
Then he rubs his face and apologizes again before sitting up. "Don't apologize and yes you did freak me out. But only because I had no idea what I was doing. I don't do so well with physical issues." Cleo laughs slightly, though it almost sounded a bit hysterical. She reaches out, a bit uncertainly, and pats Kiro on the shoulder, hopefully in a comforting manner. "Now... are you all right? You did just faint after all and I'm sure this rain is bad for people who faint..." she trails off, sure she's sounding ridiculous. She looks at him apologetically. "So much for being boat loads of help." she thinks to herself. [/blockquote]

Kiro stood up and smiled, "I'm fine, don't worry about me. I just, don't like pressure of my past let alone people who are out to kill me." He said noticing the rain had stopped. Kiro rubbed the back of his head innocently. "So, we were going to your house." Kiro said, he didn't want to talk about this anymore, let alone let it bother him. Sure it was important but to him, it was just a big old fantasy land where his brother actually liked him.
Kido flew onto Kiro's shoulder, 'Ask her if she has a guitar' Kido thoughts. Kiro did like singing, and he knew a new song he wanted to see if anyone liked it. He turned around to start down the path again, "Do you have a guitar at your house?" he asked but started walking down the path again. 'You know that I can fly with the sword on my back? It's like your clothes it poofs' Kido just managed to mention this now. 'Now you tell me' Kiro thought and Kido laughed a bit.
There was lots of things Kiro liked to do, sing, write songs art. He also liked to train with Kido along with his sword. His interests did not interfere with anything and he enjoyed them. He also enjoyed flying, but meeting new people since the incident was not good. But, Cleo was just the start it was getting him going at least. 'You know, I've never mentioned this, but I'm right here.' [/i]Kido said and Kiro laughed. He was feeling a lot better, trying to forget about Riley. He turned around to check if Cleo was following.
