Mirra let her legs carry her toward the temple. Last night she had had a dream where he talisman had come to her. There was no talking this time. The giant golden eagle had merely flown her toward a set of ruins. She had woken up when they stepped up to the temple. Now here she was. Everything was just as in the dream. She approached slowly almost afraid to breach the calm aura of the place. She felt very settled here. She had her camera clutched in both hands as her eyes wandered the ruins.
Her camera was a rofessional looking one with a bunch of settings and in the uniform black color. She had the flash turned off the catch the natural lighting. She couldn't help but let it fall to swing under one arm from it's strap when she got closer to the walls of the temple. She let her fingers run against the smoothe stone and shivered at the cold touch. Her brown hair was pulled back in a ponytail and her dark eyes wandered every detail of the stone lovingly. She felt as if the place agnoliged her. As if it knew her.

A white cat lay on top of a broken piller, hey one blue eye and one green eye scanned the temple and surrounding buildings. She gave a little yawn when something caught her attention, she turned her head, ears perked and eyes wide to watch some woman walk into the shaman ruins. At first Jo was angry, but the more she watched she realized that the woman walked with respect and caution for the ruins. many people come here to joke around, and to cause trouble, jo usually tries to scare them off using the stories of the ghost and the haunted Shaman. It usually works, kids run off screaming and then start telling stories. She sat up stretching her back and curved her tail around her feet. She watched the girl intently, not letting her eyes wonder. The girl hadnt noticed her yet and probably might think she was a real cat, not a girl in her talisman form. Jo didnt move, waiting to be noticed.

Mirra let her hand drop to her side and watched for a moment more. Then she stepped back and picked up her camera. She raised it to her face and was working on the angle when she spotted a bit of white off to one side. She let her camera drop again and walked over slowly. She at first saw nothing but a normal cat but somthing whispered otherwise. She felt a presence similar to her Talisman only diluted a bit more. She tilted her head and stopped walking a few feet away.
"Hi there... cat?"
She asked. She almost laughed at herself. Talking to a cat! She must be a little halucinatory.

Jo gave a soft meow of hello. She already liked this girl, she had respect for the indians land, the old stuff that is sacred. She lifted her paw and started licking it, then she paused and looked at the girl. My name is Jocelyn. Jo. How did you know about this place? She sat there on her haunches looking at the girl, wondering what her talisman was, unless she was a seeker and still didnt know what it was at all. She gave a shudder, trying not to think how lonely and boring the world would be if you had no talisman. Maybe this was a girl to help her track down the Hunters.

At first Mirra's eyes widened. So it wasn't a cat. She smiled slowly and tilted her head slightly to one side. Her smile widened as she realized she wasn't alone in this town. There was someone else with a talisman. This must be why her's brought her here.
"I'm Mirra. I saw this place in a... dream."
She smiled. She saw in wonderment that the girls transformation was complete. She hadn't learned how to do that yet. So far all she could make was feathers and they took forever to make go away. She had actualy managed to make her arms wings once and she could get her bones to be hollow but she still kept mostly human form. She was working on it.
She would have shook hands but she wasn't sure how that would work with a cat human transformed.

The cat smiled it a kitty way and jumped down from the pillar as soon as her paws hit the ground, her body transformed within seconds to be her human body. Her light auburn hair shone in the sun and her green eyes sparkled. Talismans always know the special places, this is one of them. Indians used this for their Shamans, the most important people in their tribes. You new here huh? I havent seen you before. she reached forward and offered her hand to Mirra. Its nice to meet you.

She smiled and shook her hand warmly. It was nice to finally meet someone here. her hands were slightly caloused and her nails were bitten. It was one of her bad habits. She bit them whenever in deep thought or when she was searching for the way to get a picture just right.
"Yeah, I moved just the other day. It's nice to meet you too. I haven't met many others like us before."
Her face was set in a friendly way and her smile was a bit crooked. It gave her a look of amusment. She pushed her hair back behind her ears.
"I wish I could do full transformation that well. Alas, the extent of my ability is this."
She let her face harden a bit in concentration and slowly feathers appeared on her cheeks. Her arms lengthened and thinned while more feathers sprouted. At last she stood with wings. She exaimined them checking to make sure they were formed correctly. Her dark eyes twinkled in wry humor.

Jo smiled at her. A lot of people here are still seekers. But there a quite a few of us innocents. Hunters too. Jo scowled her face in disgust as she said their name. She had been tracking them down to kill them, and finally found another girl to help her named Kali, but she could use some more help. Maybe Mirra would want to help. It takes a few tries, but you'll slowly learn more. I learned when I got in trouble and had to hide real quick, that panic and urgency suddenly let me see how to do it.
Jo paused for a minute before going on to the more serious matter. What do you know about Hunters? This would decided whether the girl was interested in helping defeat the Hunters, or just wanted to live her life pretending nothing was wrong like make others.

She listened and slowly the wings transcended back into arms. She finally stood in her original form but for a few stray feathers on her cheeks. She didn't mind them and was to busy thinking about what Jo had just said to get rid of them.
"Hunters... They want to use their talismans for bad right? My mother told me. At first I thought she was crazy because I was still a seeker at the time. I didn't really believe that a bear had come to my mother in a dream. But now I know."
Mirra looked thoughtful a moment and then looked back at Jo. A new reignation lay in her eyes. She was not about to let any innocents or even seekers fall into any harm. She was not willing to stand aside for the hunters.
"I want to stop them."

Jocelyn gave a quick hard single nod of approval. Good. Kali and I have made our little hideout or meeting place the old creaking cabin, do you know it? The one in the woods? No one goes there anymore and its a perfect place to be able to talk and plan about the Hunters without anyone hearing. She paused and again felt the thrill of the hunt, as if chasing down a mouse in her cat form.
She pulled a piece of paper out of her back jean pocket and handed it to Mirra, she always carried a few of these just in case. They were almost like hand written business cards, but instead of a business, it was Jocelyn's full name (jocelyn sanders), where she lived, a cute little apartment, a phone number, and of course rough directions to the creaking cabin. When you have time, you can give me a call and I can meet you there. Kali works so its usually best around 5 or 6. Im glad you want to help. I do hope you know it dangerous, and you have to be prepared to kill. Its tough, but Im told you get used to it. Jo hadnt killed anyone yet, but she did not fear it, not if it were a Hunter.

Mirra nodded in return taking the card from Jo. She exaimined it quickly and smiled. She would do anything to protect others. She had a bit of a nervouse qualm about killing but she would seek out her talisman later to help walk her through her descision.
"I'll do it."
Her eyes flashed and a bit of hardness could be seen. She put the card in her pocket and then had an idea.
"Smile."
She said bringing up her camera and snapping a shot. She loved the way the image looked. Jo went perfectly with the backround. It was the kind of photo Mirra dreamed of.

Jocelyn smiled and was relieved now that their force was three instead of two. Any help would be an advantage, even though they were still outnumbered. Plus Jo had here elemental abilities that give them a slight advantage. Jo jumped a little when she suddenly saw a flash in her face but laughed when she realized what it was. Oh no! oh stop. haha. Im not photogenic. she laughed but then started to fool around, she did a betty boop pose for laughs, then switched to Marlyn Monroe, then to secret agent pose with her finger gun. She was having fun and a lot of laughs. What me to take some of you? she asked, she didnt want to take all the fun or doing goofy shots. she would be more then happy to take some of Mirra.

Mirra laughed and took pictures. This was more fun then a model for a shoot had ever been. She knew these would end up some of her favorite pictures. They seemed more real then staged ones. She gently lifted the camera strap over her head and handed the camera to Jo.
"Sure! Try the options on the side. It has black and white, fish eye, technicolor, sepia, and a few other weird things."
Mirra tossed her head and strutted in a circle overexagerating what she had seen models do. She then couldn't help it and started to laugh. It was hard to keep a straight face. She had an idea and grew back the feathers on her cheeks and some along her arms.
"It's bird woman!"

Jo laughed with her and snapped away, she changed a few settings here and there to get different affects. She held the camera horizontal and vertical laughing and having a blast. This was fun, Jo had never taken pictures like this. We should definitely put some of these pics on the wall in the cabin, make it more like our home away from home you know? She said between pictures and laughs. Does this thing have a timer? If it does set it up, i got an idea for a really funny picture! She waited for Mirra to set it up and then waited for it to go off. When she heard the timer going, she changed into her white cat and right when the last second came, she launched herself at the 'bird woman' as if tackling her for a meal.

Jo set it quickly and almost died from trying to supress her laughter. She shrunk away from Jo in mock horror. As the camera clicked she smiled all the more.
"We can definately put these up!"
She went to the camera and started reviewing the pictures.
"Come look! The mighty bird-woman has fallen to Lady cat!"
She said pointing to Jo in one of the pictures. She still thought the last picture was the best one.
