(I guess we could end this soon huh?)
Kayla watched him fly off, flapping his wings strongly to gain altitude. She lowered her head and had her eyes focus on the path ahead of her. Although it was much easier in this form, the path was still tricky and rally slippery. She flicked her tail and used it to balance herself, slowly making her way down the path. There were a few patches that were in much better condition, and it was here that she took a big leap or a few trotting steps to help pick up the pace, seeing as flying is much faster then walking on the ground. She didnt't want to keep holding him up any longer then he would like. Which might have been since last night.
As she continued down the path a rabbit bounded out of the trees and into her path, it slid to a stop, eyes bulded out of its head when it saw the leopard and immediately ran off back into the coverage of the trees. Kayla almost took off after it, but her talisman said she would fall. So she bent her eyes back down to the muddy and yucky path.
Several minutes later her nose quivered. Civilization. It said to her. She picked up her pace, trotting slowly and carefully over the ground. Her paws slipped here and there, but with four legs she always caught herself. She popped out on a major path and stopped. She smiled and raised her head to the sky. On a major path they would be home in an hour or so.

((Yup.))
Though she was having an easier time than before, it was still slow going for the grounded Kayla. At least she seemed to be in much less danger of the head-over-heels tumble she'd endured in her human form; she could leap over certain unsteady stretches as well. Still, Aras had to double back and circle several times so he wouldn't lose sight of her.
She finally came upon a more well-beaten path, wet with rain but thankfully not reduced to a slippery stream of mud. The area was also less densely-forested, and Aras no longer had to struggle to catch flashes of her through the branches. With only a brief pause to allow relief to sink in, they set off again towards the cluster of lights in the distance.
After a while, he swooped low and landed beside her, once again assuming human form. He would walk the rest of the way back with her.

Kayla had moved her leopard form into a steady trot so it was easier for Aras, that way he didn't have to circle as much. After about a mile she say him swoop down and land next to her, she stopped her gait and looked at him, watching as he shifted. She copied him and stood again tall and upright. She tucked a hair behind her ear and gave him a smile. She slid out of his jacket once more and gave it back to him.
Really, Im ok now. Thanks. She smiled and turned to continue down the trail. She passed as large green trash can which was a good sign that they were getting closer to town. She gave a soft light chuckle. You know, if I had gottn stranded by myself it would have been so boring. You kept it a little more interesting. Least you were someone to talk to.
She looked up into the sky and saw the clouds begin to depart, the temperature started to warm and rain drops slid and dripped off the end of leaves. She could hear all the drops landing on the ground throughout the forest and it made a smile creep on her face.
Soon enough the trees began to thin and they were standing about 30feet from the small parking lot. People were beginning to arrive for a day of camping and hiking. She let out a sigh and turned to Aras. Well, thanks.

Jacket in hand, he and Kayla (who had returned to her human form) continued their trek back towards the town. Even from the ground, signs of civilization were appearing. The woods continued to thin out, and the sky was beginning to lighten. Dawn had broken on the eastern horizon, filtering through the trunks and branches to leave spots and streaks of light on the ground.
His lips quirked into a slight smile at her remark. "Likewise," he said. A bit of company was hardly unwelcome, especially when one was in the wilderness. Being stranded alone would have been a far more unpleasant--and not to mention trying--experience.
They must have looked a sight, exhausted and mudstained, as they stepped into the parking lot. A few campers and hikers--either very adventurous or completely off their rockers, because who wanted to be up in the mountains after a giant freak thunderstorm?--were milling about, making last-minute preparations.
"Well, thanks."
Aras turned back towards Kayla, who certainly looked worse off than he. But she was for the most part unhurt, save for a few scratches and bruises. "You're welcome." Spotting his car, he headed towards it and waved Kayla good-bye.
Forget coffee; he was looking forward to a prolonged nap when he got home.
((We're done here? Or do you want to make a final post?))
