Jo moved her body seductively to urge the Hunter to come over to her, yet still not inviting him. After all, she couldn't be too easy, or the game wouldn't be fun to Mr. Hunter. He moved towards her, however her eyes drifted away from him. Her eyes changed focus so the Hunter was foggy and focused on Aiden. She wanted to be there with him, not playing footsie with some idiot.
She shifted her eyes back to the man approaching her. He gave her a smile and slide his hand down her arm. Jocelyn flirted back, giving out the right amount of flirty, but also not being too easy. He ordered her another drink, of which she took a sip and smiled. He slipped his arm around her waist, letting it fall awfully low around her hips, almost toying his fingertips in the slit in her dress. She gave him a flirty look and took his arm into hers. He led her towards the VIP section, and it took everything she had not to look at Aiden.
The Hunter led her to a spot away from the big fish, obviously wanting her for himself. Well, now, that just will not do. How to play this? She started to come on a bit strong to the Hunter, hoping Devon would see and want that action all for himself. She flashed him a few looks, winks and smiles while still flirty with the other man. Her stomach crawled as she thought about who was touching her. She forced the feeling back. She finally caught the eye to Devon. She licked her lips seductively, hoping it was just enough to get his mind going, but not, 'oh she's just a slut' move.
Praying, and hoping. Fingers crossed. God seemed to be on their side tonight. Well, so far.
*ooc; Either Mel or the hunter to go right now. So it could be mel, hunter, me. Or Hunter, mel, me. up to you two.*

Devan Förstner practically owned the place. Certainly, his name wasn't the one on the official documents, but he was the proprietor of the establishment in every other sense. Besides, the owner (by name, of course) was more than happy to let him run the business; both of them profited, fiscally and otherwise.
So he knew of all the comings and goings through the doors of Table 50. He didn't find it difficult to keep track of everyone--he never had had much trouble with that sort of thing--and as a result, he was aware of exactly who was in the club at any given point in the evening.
Unless his staff had been slacking. Which they apparently had, because he did not recall being told the name of the little siren in the corner, licking her lips at him even as she toyed with another man. Ambitious, wasn't she? Going straight for the bigwigs on her first night here. And Devan had no doubt she knew exactly who he was. It wasn't as if she were the first woman to ever try to get close to him in that manner.
He would by lying if he said he didn't enjoy the attention, he admitted to himself as he took a drag from his cigar.
Excusing himself from his current company, he strode purposefully over to the woman, bodyguards trailing behind. Noticing that her eyes were elsewhere, the man she was with looked up--and his face fell. He looked disappointed, to put it kindly. The fact that the woman's primary target had never been him was definitely a Herculean blow to his ego.
Devan flashed her a smile even as the other Hunter slinked off. "You're trying too hard, Echo."

The facts were pretty much burned into Aiden’s mind. He remembered them vividly from the 15 or so times he'd read the report on this mission.
The Mission: Take down a well-known playboy Hunter Elder quickly and quietly before he is able to stage an attack against the Innocents. The Target: Devan Förstner Possible Difficulties: Well trained and an experienced member of their side. Possibly had security measures in place that haven’t been considered.
It was very frustrating watching Jo put herself in the lowly Hunter’s lap, while he pretended not to give a hoot. Of course, the drink had helped with easing that irritation, and it allowed him to focus on the task at hand better. He chatted it up with several of the higher-ups, the ones on the pyramid one level below the target, aka The Big Boss. He wasn’t one that anyone messed with, and he liked it that way.
Aiden wondered when the last time someone had challenged a decision Devan had made was. Or disagreed with him. Hopefully their chances would be better than that person's, since before they'd been split up Aiden and Jo had been almost unstoppable. They seemed to think as one unit at times, when stress was the highest.
Watching Devan move over to Jo, Aiden watched the man's eyes roam over her, taking in every curve and inch of skin that the dress displayed so well. As they spoke, Aiden tensed uncomfortably. He'd definitely preferred having her pretend to be his new wife much more than this. Forcing laughter at yet another dirty joke made by the Hunters, Aiden took another fortifying swallow of his drink. He was going to need it to get through tonight.

Jo tensed for only a moment when Devan stood and began moving towards her. But her talisman reminded her she had to be on target to get by this guys target. She relaxed and kept her eyes on him, making sure they didnt stray. She hoped this sent the boss the message that she was confident, and well, interested. A burning sensation tore at her to look for Aiden, to have him give her a smile to tell her she was doing alright. That it will end quickly. But she held the urge back and tilted her head up slightly, to look at the man approaching her. Her stomach did a small flip. When he spoke, Jo stood and took a few seductive steps closer to him, swaying her hips of course.
Trying too hard am I? I didn't think so. I just make sure I get what I want, when I want it. No beating around the bush. She sent him a flashy smile and moved next to his body, she did a slow circle around Devan, running her left hand along his chest and shoulders as she did do. When she reached back to his front, she lifted both hands and pulled on the collar of his shirt, to smooth out the small wrinkles. This physical contact made Jo want to rush to the bathroom, but she hoped it was enough contact to be flirty but not too easy for the man. If there was no fun in the game to have, he would move on. She dropped her hands and placed them on her own waist.
Heart racing, stomach clenching, she once again had to stop herself from looking at Aiden, and running into his arms. Man she couldn't wait to get out of here. And not for lust either, just to be held by Aiden, and told she had to do it. That she did a good job and that it was over. No more Devan.
So..Mr....? I can tell you are the man in charge here. Hmm I like that. Jo let a strand of her hair slide into her eyes, hiding some of her face and giving her a seductive, secretive aura about her. As well as attractive. She moved her hand in a wide arc, hinting that he should return to his seat so they could sit down. She would of course boot the girl out that was sitting in the chair right next to his.

Devan smirked as the woman took a few steps closer, obviously trying to bewitch him with her strong body language. The way she shot him coy glances and smiles, the way she trailed her fingers along his chest, and the way she pressed her hips close to his was familiar enough. She was no different than any of the other pretty girls who had tried to catch his eye. Or at least, if she was, she had yet to show him--but until then, the nickname he had given her was quite appropriate.
Still, Devan was never one to turn away a lady's company, especially when the lady involved was indeed attractive. Her words did nothing to convince him that she wasn't trying to get close to him (in more ways than one), but he would play her little game. When she ceased to amuse him, he would move on.
"So..Mr....? I can tell you are the man in charge here. Hmm I like that."
His laughter turned one or two heads, but no-one had the audacity to stare for mor than a couple of seconds. After all, the entirety of the club--or those who mattered--knew him by sight as well as name. He was no Narcissus, but any woman who made such overt advances undoubtedly knew who he was. "You disappoint me, Echo. Surely you don't hope to impress me by your ostensible ignorance."
Sliding a hand around her waist, he led her back to his seat. Delicate and light-footed Iris, the girl who'd been sitting to his left, slipped him a smile and gave the newcomer a look-over. Her smile turned enigmatic, and she reached back and pulled up an extra chair--to her left, so that she would be seated between Devan and the new girl.
Grinning, he wordlessly took his seat. Now that she had come face-to-face with competition, it would be interesting to see how Echo would handle herself.

Feeling as though his blood were going to boil over at any second, Aiden’s talisman cautioned him to remain calm, lest he blow their cover. This was too important a matter to allow personal feelings for her to interfere. The way Devan was smirking at Jo was enough to make him want to explode, and Jo wasn’t helping any by pressing herself so close to the man, drawing her fingers seductively across his chest.
Devan seemed to be somewhat seduced by her though -which as his talisman reminded him- was why they were here. Aiden could see words being exchanged between them, a sexy little smile on Jo’s part, and an amused smirk on the part of the target. God, she looked good in that dress. Undoubtedly, Devan would discover that too later on in the evening.
As Aiden watched, becoming more and more distracted, the couple approached their table. His hands tensed around his drink, but he shifted his attention back to the conversation taking place. Unfortunately, at the moment, most of the men present were commenting on the hot new "dish" that was coming this way. Aiden's new problem; the "dish" standing at their table happened to be Jo.

Jo let him lead her to his seat, and only gave him a smile at his comment. She obviously was just barely doing good enough to keep his attention. A flutter in her stomach reminded her that she really needed to do better, this is a mission, not just a day trip. When Devan took his seat Jo eyed the girl sitting next to him, and she gave the woman an 'oh really' look as she pulled a chair up away from the man. Jo flicked an eyebrow and moved over to the woman, leaning down toward her she said so sweetly,
Do you mind miss? I would really like to talk with Devan here. Jo stood up again and waited for her to move but when she didn't a spark jumped inside her. She gave a fake smile to the woman and leaned down again. No, really. I advise you leave, before you find yourself ass down in the center of the room with your hair pulled out. Ah, thank you darling. As the woman glarred at Jo and moved off, Jo let her body fall carefully to the chair. She hoped that her nerves vanished so she could charm this man better, god she hoped she wouldnt have to resort to bedroom tricks.
Jo turned to Devan, You have quiet a crowd of..devoted woman at your side. Her eyes wandered to Aiden and she felt a stab of anger as she saw him hanging with other Hunters as if he, well, belonged. She felt more heat rise to her cheeks as she noticed a few woman over near him. He better watch his hands. She thought bitterly. Her cat talisman bristled at the other females, but she forced herself to remain calm and to focus on Devan once more.

Iris glared at the newcomer, but got up quietly, already formulating a new plan in her mind. Fine, this fresh piece of meat could have the seat, but she would be taking a better one in a moment. Oh yes, delicate, gentle, nimble Iris did have some bite to replace that quiet bark of hers. So, with a quiet nod to Devan, she went off to the bar.
Little light-footed Iris returned only a moment later with two drinks in hand. Setting Devan's on the table in front of him, she took another glance at the fresh meat that obviously could barely keep his attention. Ah, the newcomer was green to the game, and she would have to learn quickly to avoid losing anything else. But tonight, Devan was Iris' and Iris' only. She had been the apple of his eye for as long as he had been in power, and this wasn't going to change because of some new starry-eyed bitch on the block. She would have to haul ass to get anywhere with him.
And besides, Devan had about twenty other girls in line right after Iris and she doubted he even knew this newcomer's name.
So with a little hmph sound, she daintily seated herself on Devan's lap, shooting the fresh meat a look that clearly told of her dominance among the ladies in the room. The man did not protest, and she smiled her usual sweet, elusive smile. Oh what a game tonight was, and the others weren't playing very well. Devan only looped an arm around Iris' waist, and it was practically over for all the other ladies in the room, including the newcomer.

Michael watched the mini-drama around Devan for a moment, nursing a frosty rum. Iris, who could certainly be the little witch when she wanted to be, was choosing to show her catty side. Quite smoothly too, might I add, He thought to himself. He vaguely listened as this new guy....had he told his name?...talked about something. He noted the way his eyes lit possessively for a second everytime they guiltily snuck a glance at the woman, who he also didn't know the name of.
Michael stood, his rum still in his hand, hardly touched, and said to the guys, "Watch this." He fairly sauntered as he made his way to the important end of the table. He knew he looked good, a clean black shirt, hair shining, cologne subtle. He stepped up behind the woman in her classic little black dress and leaned over her shoulder a bit, setting one hand on the table loosely.
"Pay no mind to her, love. If he doesn't appreciate such a fine lady, I could, surely." He let more than a hint of his Irish brogue show in his voice, low, rolling and soft. The voice he used, calculated to seduce, to persuade, when he wanted something his way. It could have been the voice of a killer, luring you into it's trap. But he wasn't much of a killer. He preferred to make his marks a little further than that. His golden-brown gaze stayed on her face, still turned toward Devan and Isis, who was wearing quite a smug look.

Now his blood was seriously starting to boil. Not only was Jo practically throwing herself at the target by this point, it was getting more and more difficult for Aiden to restrain himself from going over there himself and just killing him in front of everone else. The only problem with that would be that when it came to a fight afterwards, he would lose, and badly. So, the smartest thing to do was bide his time until Jo could get Devan by himself. Which at the moment wasn’t seeming like much of a real possibility. Then again though, Jo had never failed him before, and he wasn’t about to lose faith in her now.
Watching the catty dialogue between her and the apparent head hoe, Aiden wasn’t sure what he should be doing to assist her. He would take the other woman himself, just to get her out of the way, but he wasn’t yet ready to attract Devan’s attention. It was much less obvious to chat it up with the other under-Hunters, as he liked to think of them.
A man whom Aiden had been introduced to as Michael then stood up, rum in hand and told the others to “Watch this,” just before he swaggered over to Jo, leaning seductively over her. The man had an Irish accent that would make most ladies swoon at the sound of it, but how would Jo react to his intrusion? Continuing to discuss the pitiful golf courses in the area, and how the ones in Colorado and Arizona were much more challenging, Aiden kept one eye on Jo and the other on Devan. So far, nothing was going according to plan, but honestly, how much worse could this possibly get?
