Jocelyn sat at a small table for two outside of a cafe drinking her cup of coffee. She had been 'advised', or told to go on a small mission, an easy mission, so to speak. So she hopped on a plane and flew to Boston, got no sleep and is now waiting for her partner in crime. She stifled a yawn, yelling at herself for only getting two hours of sleep last night. Her right leg was crossed over her left, and her light brown hair was of course down at her shoulders, a bit wavy but shinning in the morning light. She wore a nice pair of blue jeans, a bit on the tighter side to show off her curves and a nice tank top with a very light hoody draped over her shoulders.
Her green eyes scanned the street to her right as she continued to sip her coffee. She glanced at her watch an noted it said 8:20am. He was 20 minutes late, and she was getting a bit irritated. She wanted to get this done and go home and maybe sleep for an entire day. She tilted her cell phone and looked to see if she had gotten any messages. Blank. She put it back down on the table. A taxi cab honked at someone on the street and it made Jocelyn jump. She rolled her eyes, shutting them as she took another sip of the coffee, hoping it would kick in soon before she got a headache.

Aiden was thankful to finally be able to wear comfortable clothes once again. Not that his tailored suits weren't comfortable, but they made him stick out, labelled him as important. What he really liked was looking like everyone else. Today he'd paired his favourite pair of blue jeans with a nice green shirt that brought out the color of his eyes. They sparkled happily as he headed over to meet his 'partner' for the next mission. It was likely someone he knew, since Aiden made a point to know all the Innocents he could by name and rank at least.
A quick flick of his wrist exposed his expensive watch, revealing the time to be 8:20. He was late. Really late. Whoever it was wasn't going to be happy, but Aiden could charm his way out of just about everything. That's what made him such a good diplomat; his charm. He was well rested and wide awake after his flight, for which he'd slept most of the time. He'd stopped only to drop his things off, have a shower and change, and he was now refreshed and ready to go.
As he crossed the busy street at the light, a nearby taxi honked it's horn at him, irritated that he was taking so long. Aiden didn't even notice, because at the coffee shop where he was supposed to meet his partner was Jo. Mentally reminding himself to breathe, and trying to be nonchalant despite the faint flutterings in his stomach, Aiden slid into the seat across the table from her. Hey partner. Long time no see. A cautious smile crossed his face as he ordered a coffee too. She looked really good, better than when they'd parted ways, that was for sure.

ooc; oooh i got butterflies. lol
Jocelyn heard a voice and new immediately who it was without opening her eyes. She could even smell his cologne through the strong stench of the coffee. But having Aiden pop out of nowhere still scared the shit out of her. She lurched forward and just about choked on her coffee. She put her cup down and wiped her mouth with the back of her hand, just in case something had spilled.
She looked at him with her eyes wide ope, forgetting she was tired. What..hi. How...? She stuttered through her 'greeting' trying her best to ignore the butterflies in her stomach and her racing heart. Her insides were doing things she had never experienced before. Aiden...what are you doing here? She managed to say without stuttering. She tucked a strand of her hair behind an ear.
He looked good. Really really good and she had kept a mental picture of him in her head all this time. He looked even better then she remembered. Jo had also gotten better. Trying to deal with his disappearence she went into a crazy 'health' mode and worked out every day. Her body was thinner, yet toned and curvy. And Aiden was more muscled then she remembered. dizzy. She took a deep breath.
You left me. No word, no note, no god damn phone call. I didn't hear a single freaking word from you for 6 months Aiden! What the hell are you doing here?
Her foot began to twist, shake and vibrate as she became angry, mad, hurt...Her eyes flashed at him. This, would be the first time Aiden has seen her fuming mad.

As his coffee arrived, Aiden took a cautious sip. Jo’s eyes were closed, hiding their pretty green color that matched his own. As she started to choke he leaned forward, forehead creasing in worry. It was only after she’d regained her composure that he relaxed back into his chair, his hands nervously playing with the handle of his cup. He let her stutter as she thought through the questions she obviously was dying to ask, and a stab of guilt ran through him at her noticeable surprise. The higher ups apparently hadn’t told her who she was working with either.
Aiden...what are you doing here? Oh, his name sounded so good coming from her lips. He’d forgotten what a sexy voice she had sometimes. Same as you. We’ve been assigned a mission. Together. He paused to let the information sink in. She looked overwhelmed, which was unusual for Jo. She was usually aware of everything going on and liked to stay on top of her work. It was one of the things he admired most about her. Right now though, she looked really tired and drained. Maybe the mission could wait until tomorrow; she looked as though she could really use the sleep.
Wincing slightly at her accusations, Aiden tried to defend himself. It was a last minute thing; even I didn’t know until almost right before I left. They wanted me to go infiltrate the Hunter hierarchy in Bulgaria, and there wasn’t enough time left to call you before I left. Once I got there, I was allowed no unnecessary communications in case my cover was blown. He rearranged his expression to be one of apology. I’m really sorry Jo. I didn’t want to leave you, but I had to. Aiden had never seen her so angry before, which meant that she cared about what had happened a great deal. He’d hoped that she would get over what had happened in the time he’d been away, but apparently she had done no such thing.

Jo clenched her fist together as Aiden said they had been assigned to work together. She tried to stay mad at that, but the thought of being with him made her happy. But then she thought about him leaving like that, and the happyness vanished. She tilted her eyes down into her lap and toyed with the napkin. She just couldn't look at im right now.
You could have done something to let me know. Something Aiden. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes once again and willed herself to calm down. She bit her bottom lip and finally opened her green eyes at him. She was still mad and hurt. But they must get down to business right? She fluttered her eye lashes in anoyance, wondering why they had put them together, I mean, they would have known the history between the two. Afterall they had been together for a long time, almost a year if she remembered right. Well, of course she remembered right.
I haven't been told much, except to come here and wait for...you. They said you would have the file on the person we are to spy on. Something about a Hunter rising to Elder that is very bad, and someone who we don't want getting that high..? That was all she was told, and even that seemed vague. As she sat there and thought aobut the mision and tried to get down to business, Jo couldn't help but feel more hurt then mad. All she wanted to do was jump forward and into his lap, hugging and kissing him. But wanting to do that made her even more sad. For she felt it was the wrong time and place...and well they had to much past to sort through at the moment. She slowly felt her eyes fill with tears, and she willed them not to fall. But of couse, it fell, sliding down her cheek. She quickly wiped it away as if nothing happened. So what do..you know? Her voice cracked a little buit, but she made her expression stern.

Jo still looked mad, which was a bad sign. It was time to turn the charm on and cheer her up. You could have done something to let me know. Something Aiden. Guilt and desire stabbed him in equal measures. Great, now she wouldn't even look him in the eye. They ran out of carrier pigeons to Noatak just before I arrived. Hopefully his joking would lighten the mood; he didn't really want to go on a mission while Jo was still like this. They would work better together once they'd both calmed down.
I never forgot you Jo . . . never stopped worrying about how you were doing. As she fluttered her eyelashes another wave of desire ran through him. It had been six months since he'd felt like this, and he wanted to kiss her so badly it almost hurt. Like a gentleman, he restrained himself, his talisman chiding him that this wasn't the time for it.
Watching her eyes well up with tears was hard, and Aiden resisted the urge to kiss them away. She looked very alluring, with jeans that showed off her curves nicely and a top that gave peeks at what was under it. He wanted to reach up and gently wipe the tear off her cheek, but she'd already done it, and her expression wasn't exactly welcoming. Plus, he knew she valued her independance, and for him to do so would signal that she was somewhat dependant on him, when he knew that she wasn't. Jo could take care of herself, that's for sure. Just ask one of her victims.
He listened attentively as Jo explained the little she'd been told about the mission. Pulling a small folder out of his shirt, he placed it on the table, opened it and passed her a picture. This is the target. He's 40 something, 5'9 and completely loaded. With money that is. He's one of the more experienced Hunter's we've dealt with, so his new status as Elder isn't that shocking. We're hoping that by taking him out the blow will shake the Hunter hierarchy enough for them to hesitate attacking us. We aren't ready yet to be assulted the way that they're planning. Pausing to riffle through the papers in the folder, he read off the name of the hotel the target was staying in, along with the floor and room number.
It's not going to be easy; the place is wired tight, but we can do this if we work together. Any ideas on how to get in there? Jo was always full of good ideas when it came to infiltrating buildings. Hopefully she'd come up with something, or they wouldn't even make it through the front doors.

Jo took a deep shuddering breath before turning her attention to Aiden and the picture he handed her. She took it gently in her finger tips and looked at the photo, memorizing the facial features, especially the mouth and eyes in case they ever came across him with a disguise. She put the picture back down on the table and took a sip of her coffee, placing then now empty cup on the small plate. She gave him a soft smile at his joke, but inside she laughed a bit. she may become pleasant to him, but she was still hurt inside. She saw something in his face when the tear slide out of her eye, but she looked away.
She pursed her lips together as she thought of a way to get in. And the only thing she could think of was something that would be so hard for her to do. She took another deep slow breath and tried to ignore the flutter in her stomach and her heart. We have to pose as a couple, pretend we are staying at the hotel. We just got married, this is our honey moon type trip. We have to book a room, a suit to pull it off, and it has to look real. She knew when she said that he would get what she meant, they would have to act totally in love, and be all over each other, just like a brand new married couple would be like. She hesitated before going on.
We need to get more information. A guy like him is bound to like night life, clubs, girls, gambling. If we can find a place where he goes often and go there. Someone strike up a conversation while blending in. And in order for him to be somewhat interested, I'll have to throw him some charm. And again, they both knew what it meant. She would have to wear some sexy outfit that would catch his..eye and flirt with him. Something in her said. ha. She was going to get the sexiest outfit should could find, do it up right, flirt real good with this man, and make Aiden feel jealous. Yup. Evil huh?
Jo waved at the waiter and got the bill, tossed down her credit card and payed for Auden's coffee. Shall we get going? I think we should head to the Hotel first. Then I'll need to shop for the...appropriate clothing. While I shop, you find clubs and such places he goes. Then tonight, we will hook up with him and proceed form there. Good? She made sure she sounded business like, but the yearning for him didn't stop and many times her talisman mentally scratched her to leave it be. For now, anyways.

Letting her study the picture for a minute, Aiden finished off the rest of his coffee and placed his cup next to hers. She was finally smiling a little at least. He'd already memorized the features of the target -handsome features, he grudgingly admitted- as well as the location where they were going. Wondering why the Elders had told him everything, and her almost nothing, Aiden tried to shrug it off. Maybe they thought he'd gotten rusty and wouldn't be able to think on his feet or something. Or maybe they'd wanted to distract him from thinking about who his partner could be.
As Jo outlined her plan, Aiden frowned. He didn't like this plan at all. In fact, he was directly opposed to it, except for the part where she wore sexy clothes. Then again, what she was wearing right now was pretty sexy in his opinion. Not that he was going to tell her that. We're booking the honeymoon suite? He tried not to sound excited about it, which became easy as she outlined her plan further. Another frown. Aiden knew better than to say anything at the moment and besides, they could always hash it out later in the suite. For now they just needed to move.
With a resigned look, he rose, his mind whirring to find ways out of it. Before he could protest mentally, Aiden moved around the table and pulled her into a hug. It's good to see you Jo. I'm glad you're here with me. Indeed, he and Jo would be able to pull off this with no problems, much better than he would have been able to with someone else. Pulling back, he offered her his hand, smiled and asked, So, are you ready to be my wife?

When Aiden said We're booking the honeymoon suite? she couldn't help but smile at him, for even she was getting a bit excited about the fancy room. Yeah, the bathrooms even have hot tubs and Jacuzzis. And the food, room service, king beds... She stopped herself. NO. She had to back off and calm her hormones. Before she could say anything else, she was pulled into a hug. She tried to pull away at first, but he felt so good, hard muscles, the height, and his smell. She melted into him wrapping her arms around his waist.
Her heart raced, literally, trying to break free from her chest. The touch actually made her feel dizzy, but not as much as his next comment. When he let her go she smiled at the first part of the comment, but her jaw dropped and heart skipped, oh I dunno, five beats when he said are you ready to be my wife?. It felt to real. No, she wished it was real. Thought. Damn it. We need rings. Calm, breath, focus.
Jo slowly reached forward and let her hand slip into his, letting her fingers intertwine with his. Let's go to the Hotel and check in first. Now she just had to be strong for when they had to be all lovey dovey. Oh Shit. They might have to kiss..a few times. And if she new Aiden, he would take full advantage of that, and he would really kiss her just to see her get all flustered in public. Shit.
Jo started to walk, and who knew it was the wrong direction. But she was too worried about what had to come next to focus. And it was even more embarrassing when Aiden had to redirect her. Right. Right. She tried to smile, as if she had meant to do that.

Relief coursing through him over the fact that Jo had accepted his apology and explanation -at least for now- Aiden beamed back at her, practically bouncing along beside her. It felt really good to be by her side again, even though they weren't truly together again. Smirking slightly over her slip on king sized beds, Aiden's imagination almost kicked into overdrive. Imagine the things we could do with a king sized bed . . .
Shaking his head to clear his thoughts of all naughty intentions (well, almost all naughty intentions) he caught the slight flush in her cheeks, and realized that she'd been thinking something along the same lines as he had. Imagine that. The hug was everything he'd imagined it to be. Her body was soft and supple in his arms, and without consiously thinking about it he pulled her closer, not that there was much space between them to start with.
The stunned expression on her face completely gave away her thoughts. Aiden considered for a moment, thinking something along the lines of 'that's not such a bad idea' before his talisman gently reminded him that they weren't even a couple again yet. Better not to jump the gun on anything with everything so up in the air.
We need rings. Reaching into his jeans pocket, he pulled out two gold rings. When she looked at him for an explanation, he replied simply, They came in the folder. Taking her hand, he gently placed the prettier of the rings on her finger before placing the other on his own. Their interlaced fingers felt comfortable, and as natural as breathing to him. Steering her in the correct direction, they eventually reached the glass doors of the fanciest hotel in Boston. Compared to getting through the front desk, getting into the high roller's club would be a piece of cake.

Jocelyn turned and looked at him as he pulled two rings out. she tilted her head to the side and thought it odd, for he had asked her for a plan as if he didn't have one...so it was weird that they had already been in the folder. She ignored it after a second of thought. But when he slipped the ring onto her finger gently, her heart again gave a little jump. When they had been together months ago, she had always toyed with the idea of marriage, always thinking she could see herself with him. But this was just too real for her. She pulled her hand out of his and walked towards the glass doors. Shit.
She stopped walking and turned back to Aiden. They had to act like a couple so she couldn't enter in front of him. Are you coming? She asked in a slightly agitated tone of voice, although it was only from nerves. She looped her arm around his and put on a fake smile. She walked right up to the front desk. Hi there. We have reservations under...what did you put them under hunny? Oh thats right. Davenport. Man, she was good when she had to be. She smiled at the concierge and squeezed Aiden's arm, casually moving her hand so it caught the light and the ring shone, making it so other people saw it. Almost ALL newly weds did that.
As Jocelyn waited for the woman to bring up the reservations she continued the act of being a just married couple on their honey moon. However she was not going to be the one to kiss him first. She would avoid it if she had to. She didn't want to get all weak kneed and flustered and give him the rush and pride of having it be because of him. It's the honey moon suit. Oh I can't believe it! I'm married. I have a husband. It sounds so odd! She laughed like a cute little angel.
She couldn't wait to get to the room and she could get off Aidens arm. She wanted to unpack, relax, take a nice hot shower before she had to get dolled up and sexy-fied to go to the club tonight. She gave the woman at the front desk another innocent smile, turning her head to give the smile to her 'hubby'.

Okay, so he'd lied about the rings coming in the folder. Aiden had actually gotten them because... because he'd hoped that he could give hers to her as a present. Once they were a couple again, at least. Aiden had bought them less than a week before he'd had to leave, meaning to give them to her then, but there hadn't been enough time. Since then he'd carried them with him at all times. Turned out to be a lucky thing now. He could feel her suspicion, but she seemed to shrug it off. It didn't matter now, so long as she never took that ring off again.
As they linked arms, Aiden couldn't help but tug her closer to him, just to irritate her. Nothing like irritating Jo when she wasn't allowed to retaliate. She'd probably get him back later, but he'd come up with some way to make her forget. Oh, the idea of it . . .
They approached the counter, and Jo was checking their reservations when Aiden caught the word 'hunny' and almost choked. She knew how much pet names like that bothered him, but instead of narrowing his eyes and glaring he broadened his smile and pulled her around to face him. A quick glance up revealed that the woman working at the concierge desk was checking their reservation, not looking at them. You'll get used to it. His eyes were twinkling with excitement, and the sick sort of pleasure he was going to get out of this.
She wasn't going to be happy, but Aiden took advantage of the situation anyways. Jo was still showing off her ring when he wordlessly pulled her extremely close, putting one hand on her ribcage and the other in her hair before his lips settled gently over hers. The kiss was passionate and hot on his part, and bystanders probably thought it looked almost pornographic due to the fiery heat he was excluding. Gently releasing Jo again, he smiled at the concierge woman again and took their room key, accepting the directions to their room from her, even though he already knew where it was.

Jo flicked a single eyebrow in a Ha manner. Oh he'll love that one. She thought. And it seemed he did for he pulled her closer and she saw the brief flash of, I hate pet names. She gave a subtle resistance to being pulled closer to him, but she couldn't do to much or it would be noticed. Her stomach jumped again when she felt his hands on her ribcage, and then in her hair. And...oh lord. She could barely breath, her knees buckled and when he released her she just about fell over, but thank god the front desk was right there. Unfortunately, in her attempt to grab a hold of it to steady herself, she knocked over a small rack of brochures. Oh I'm sorry. Oh, so sorry. She said as she fumbled with the brochures trying to fix them. She shot Aiden a glare but her face turned angelic when it went back to the woman.
He's just so good, those kisses still catch me off guard! She said jokingly to the woman, smiling and trying to be sweet and innocent. As Aiden turned to head off to the room, she linked her arm around his waist, then slid it down to his butt, and gave a nice hard squeeze. She looked over her shoulder at the woman at the front desk, who had seen her grab, but Jo just smiled at her.
Jo stood in the elevator in silence, walked down the hallway in silence, and walked into the room in silence. She tossed her things on the bed and immediately went to go take a shower. This, would be her revenge. As she walked across the large room to the bathroom, she began stripping as she walked. Shirt hit the floor, then she reached her hands around and unsnapped her bra, letting that fall to the ground as well. She glanced over her shoulder and gave him a hard stare.
When she got to the bathroom she turned the water on and took the rest of her clothes off. She jumped in and washed her hair and body. She got her razor and shaved everything, needed to be smooth and lady like you know? When she was done she dried her hair as much as she could with a towel, then wrapped the towel around her naked body and walked back out into the room. She moved to her suitcase and began finding some clothes, in only her towel and her body still wet. If this doesn't make him go crazy, I just might have to 'drop' this damn towel. she thought to herself.

Pleased that her reaction to him was as strong as had used to be, Aiden smirked. As nonchalant as she'd pretended to be, the fact that she knocked over a pile of brochures on the desk she'd grabbed a hold of to support herself said otherwise. Jo was never clumsy, so he must have really upset her system, and his ego was practically purring.
As Jo frantically apologized to the woman at the desk, he came closer again, reaching over to help. Purposely making his hand brush hers twice, he made his smile more intimate. I can help you with that darling. The woman at the desk smirked at Jo's fumbled attempts to cover up how flustered he'd made her with just a kiss. He's just so good, those kisses still catch me off guard! The stroking of his ego only made Aiden smile wider, and as they turned away it changed into something more seductive.
It wasn't surprising when Jo pulled them close again, but he did jump a little when she grabbed his butt. Not that there was anything wrong with his butt, just she'd taken him by surprise. Recovering quicky, he ran his hand possesively up and down her side, wondering just how flustered he could make her. While he was close enough to have the opportunity, he ran his nose over her ear, whispering softly into it. You're not so bad yourself.
When Jo looked resolutely ahead and they remained in silence until reaching the bedroom, Aiden grinned happily. If he remembered correctly there was only one bed in the honeymoon suite, which was going to make things interesting. He set his suitcase down beside hers, and pretended he didn't care when she casually stripped off her shirt and bra on her way to go take a shower. The stare she cast over her shoulder wasn't an invitation; it was a warning. Unfortunately for him.
While Jo was in the shower he changed into his street clothes, a black jacket and torn jeans with his well worn sneakers and a hat. Ditching the fancy watch, he opted for a couple of chains. Hmm . . . he could probably find a good use for those chains if he thought long enough about it. Picking up her shirt and bra, he casually slung them over the back of a nearby chair, before moving to stand by to the bed. Standing next to her suitcase, Aiden watched as Jo came out with simply a towel on. Was it just him, or was it getting hot in here?

Jocelyn pulled out a few fresh clothes and layed them out on the bed. She glanced at Aiden a little less harsh this time and turned her back to him. She undid the towel and let it slid down her back falling to the floor. She reached for her underwear and slid them on, going for the bra next and clasping it around her chest. Now with that covered she turned to face the bed, her left side facing him. She again flicked her eyes over to him, she was a bit mad at herself. This dressing in front of him was supposed to amake him go crazy, but really, it was just making her want him even more. She slid a pair of jeans on and grabbed a casual T-shirt.
She tossed the wet towel on a chair and brushed her hair, leaving it down. She grabbed her bag and turned to Aiden. I have to go shopping to get the clothes I need. You find out where he frequently goes ok? She didn't really wait for him to answer, for she expected him to do that anyways. She turned and headed out the door.
*3 hours later*
Jo walked into the room with three very large bags hanging off her shoulders. She gave a tired sigh and threw them on the floor nxt to the bed along with everything else. She let her body fall to the bed, laying on her stomach, she didn't move for a minute or two. She didn't even really notice Aiden was laying on the bed reading some magazine about flexible photovoltaics and solar panels and how they can help to 'save the world'. Well she knew he was there..just not shirtless. And wet from his own shower. She propped her chest up on her elbows while still lying on her stomach on the bed.
So. Find out where he goes? And hopefully he will be there tonight so we can casually bump into him. She pushed herself up and suddenly had an urge to put each of her legs over his, and straddle him while he lay there reading, and then of course return that holy cow kiss. She could feel heat rising to her cheeks, and a feeling almost like butterflies, but lower then her stomach. But she restrained herself. Instead she got off the bed and began pulling out some clothes. Most likely she would wear the little black sexy dress with a low v-neck and a high slit on the thigh.
