Appearance:Iggy doesn't know what he looks like. He still sees himself as a little child, unable to picture himself clearly thanks to his limited imagination. His wardrobe is similar to a black hole. He doesn't buy anything involving color, because of his brilliant talent at mismatching. He's still under the impression his hair is still a platinum blond, though it darkened over time to a sandy-er color. His canine teeth are unusually sharp, leading him to his fascination with Dracula which will be described in fuller detail later on. He slicks his hair back in an attempt to look more like the Count. Ichabod has always looked pale and sickly, and he still hasn't outgrown it. He only occasionally has what he considers a smile, but in actuality is a grimace on his face. A scowl is his general expression.
Iggy has a very slight limp. It's only noticeable if he points it out, which he wouldn't dare. His milky blue eyes are known to freak people out. Not only because of their almost unnatural look, but because of the unsettling feeling they give. Ichabod tries to keep clean-shaven, [Dracula does not have a beard] but finds it unpleasant and difficult, only shaving when his stubble takes the form of a beard. He's tall, which attracts the attention he hates so much. Iggy tries to correct it by slouching. He keeps his hands in good condition, never letting them callous. They're the closest thing to sight he has. He's slightly muscular, but no where near body-builder. More wiry than anything. His unnaturally long torso is covered in thin scars he earned in his childhood. The scars thin out as they reach his arms, gradually becoming non-existent when nearing his elbows. Because of his light hair, eyes, and skin, he has an almost washed out appearance. Oh, and he's blind.
Personality: Ichabod is cynical. He hates almost everything. He was always like this, albeit to a lesser degree, but as he grew so did his hate for everything. In one word, Ichabod is bitter. He prefers to stay to himself. It's common for him to directly ignoring someone's entire existence if he isn't in the mood to talk, which is most of the time. Ichabod is always frustrated at something. His most common source of frustration is his inability to see. He's stubborn, and refuses to use a walking stick to get around. He's quick to anger, and unable to control it. Ichabod isn't afraid of himself, but of the things he does. In his rages, he becomes a whole new kind of blind. Unaware of what he's doing. After calming down, he breaks down into hysterics at what he's done. When Ichabod talks to someone, which is rare, he looks at them as if he can still see them. It freaks people out. He's still under the impression that woman should be treated as such. Ichabod holds doors open, gives a lady his chair if none are available, and always speaks politely. He's somewhat old-fashioned that way. If it isn't a talisman related dream, Iggy can see. He's a full grown man in his dreams, but if confronted with a mirror or a reflection, all he sees is his seven year old self. Iggy dreams every night, repeating the seven years of sight over and over. He's currently working on his third time being seven years old. He's repeated those first seven years twice. It has a mixed result. Ichabod is mentally 35, while in actuality, he's only 21, but spending so much time as a 7 year old has effected him. Ichabod acts both young and old. He's got an old man's view of the world, and a little boys solution.
He stays to himself for two reasons. One, he prefers it that way. Two, for others safety. Iggy hates the unexpected, and dislikes change. He wouldn't have even come to Noatak if it weren't for his talisman constantly bugging him to the point he couldn't sleep. He still wishes to go back to Transylvania. In his talisman related dreams, he can't see, so he's still completely unaware of what his talisman actually is. It refuses to let him touch it, so he doesn't even have a vague idea. Ichabod is often in a bad mood. He's paranoid someone is looking at him with pity in their eyes, and that's the last thing he wants. Loud noises annoy him. His hearing, along with smell and touch, has sharpened over the years, allowing him to actually hear someone's heart beat, depending on how close they're standing. Ichabod is almost always accompanied by constant clicking. It's the way he gets around, after breaking his blind stick. Iggy makes a constant sound, tapping his foot, clicking his tongue, etc. and listens for the vibrations. At first, he was horrible, but years of constant practice and he's mastered it. Iggy likes to walk fast, but can't always get what he wants. He can't handle so many vibrations, and will often get headaches. Making his bad mood even worse.
Mother:Unknown
Father:Percival Hallows.
Siblings:None
Family of Note:None
History: Ichabod Hallows wasn't born blind. He lived in a fairly large house with his drunk of a father in Transylvania. Iggy never knew what happened to his mother, but it was his fault, according to his father. When he got older, the resemblance to his mother became more obvious. His father cursed Ichabod and his mother's name everyday. At the age of five, his father began to beat him, beginning his scar collection. Ichabod didn't realize what his father did wasn't right. He assumed each child got hit, so he never spoke up. When he found out about other children's easy life, he began to hate the world for making his life unfair. His life got worse. At the age of 7, his father blinded him. Being a wealthy drunk, his father kept it hushed up. The [bribed] doctors explained how a blow to the head could cause blindness. They gave him medicines and preformed surgeries, which gave them their milky appearance. None of it worked, obviously. He can't remember what his initial eye color was. For a year or two, Ichabod successfully kept his blindness a secret, but an incident involving the girls bathroom blew it. The majority of Ichabod's childhood and teenage adolescence he was psychologically mute. In the rare chance he felt something laugh-worthy, he'd open his mouth and appear to laugh, but nothing would come out. His mind wouldn't allow him to make a sound. He's just recently began talking again.
There were no kids his age in Transylvania. They were either older, or too young to play with. He stuck with the younger kids, because the older kids would steal his walking stick [After being exposed, he was forced to use one] and beat him with it. He switched to echo-location. After losing his sight, his fashion sense took a turn for the worse, understandably. He was ridiculed for it. Ichabod learned from an early age that the world was a mean place. Iggy took a liking to the younger kids. They weren't as cruel as the teenagers of Transylvania. The younger kids couldn't pronounce 'Ichabod' so they tried out 'Icky', which sounded more like 'Iggy'. At first, he hated it, but it grew on him. In the end, no one but his father used Ichabod, leading him to despise his actual name. Now, Iggy refuses to let any male call him Ichabod. He allows woman to call him whatever they feel like, but men are strictly limited to Iggy. Ichabod sometimes wishes he could forget, but that'd be too easy.
It was a girl. Iggy could tell by the speed of heartbeat. People's hearts tend to beat faster when they're near the opposite gender, whether they like them or not. She was older. He clicked his teeth. Taller too. "You aren't matching." Her sickly sweet voice practically dripped with synthetic honey. He ignored her, and walked on. His footsteps accompanied by her chilling laugh. She easily caught up and harassed him to no end. Iggy sometimes speculated it was a running competition here in Transylvania. 'Who could kill Ichabod Hallows first?' He shook the idea away. It was a very conceited idea. No one cares about him enough to wish him dead, with the exception of his father. He didn't need to click to know where she was. Her footsteps were abnormally loud, or maybe it just seemed that way to him. He stopped walking, and so did she. He stared directly at her face, almost silently clicking his teeth. It was that obnoxious girl that lived near him. "What are you looking at?" She was being sarcastic. The girl was fully aware that he couldn't see. She was just reminding him, in case he forgot. She started up again about his shirt. Apparently, it was plaid, and didn't match the dark blue of his jeans. As if he cared. Suddenly, he wanted her to shut up. Iggy yanked off his shirt, anything to make her stop. His sickly, pale chest exposed. She laughed at him. He hated her. Her laughter died when she noticed the pale scars on his even paler skin. Her repulsion practically rolled off her in waves. He could feel it in her body language. Iggy didn't know what happened then. His hearing slowly went, and he was left deaf. Somehow, he still knew exactly where she was. His sense of touch was the next thing to go. The last thing he felt was her skin. Iggy wasn't aware of how long he stayed 'dead'. In a way, it was sort of like sleeping. You knew it happened, and that it stretched over a long period of time, but it all felt like seconds. His touch slowly returned, and he felt something warm and sticky. He knew the smell well. It was blood. He tasted it too. Iggy hadn't realized his sense of taste left, but not that it was back it became painfully obvious. His hearing came back slowly. She was sobbing. Iggy got off her, disgusted with himself. He had bit her. Her footsteps were even louder than before, this time it wasn't just his hearing that made it seem that way. She was running away from him as fast as she could. Iggy sort of wished he could do the same..
When Little Ichabod couldn't sleep, he'd watch old horror films. Dracula being his favorite. After losing his baby teeth and gaining his 'fangs' he became obsessed. In his head, he'd tricked himself into believing Dracula to be his real father. Now he finds the idea silly. He took to the habit of walking in the shadows, avoiding crucifixes, shunning garlic, and drinking 'blood'. [it was just fruit punch] He still doesn't eat garlic, and has a strange liking for punch, but now braves the sun, an improvement. He'd spend most of his free time in a cave, away from the town and their prying eyes. He'd open his mouth and make the only sound he could. A piercing screech. The bats would answer back, and he became good friends with a particular bat. His father ended up killing it in the most gruesomest of ways. He plucked out it's eyes letting it slowly bleed to death in front of Ichabod's sightless eyes. In the background of all of Iggy's dreams, he can still hear the poor bat screech itself hoarse. Almost half a decade later, Percival's body was found in the same cave, his eyes gouged out and mouth frozen in a perpetual scream. The cause of death was a officially cardiac arrest though blood loss would have killed him if his heart hadn't given up. His body was untouched, with the exception of his eyes. At Percival Hallows' funeral, the people of that small town could see something rare. Iggy Hallows' smile. It was sweet, but twisted. No one ever knew for sure if the young boy had anything to do with his father's death, but it was sort of implied. There were accusations, but Ichabod denied them. Iggy Hallows became the talk of the town. He was in every conversation, and he hated it. The town started discussing how he did it. Most thought he was too young to pull it off, while others considered demon possession. He ended up staying in his father's house to avoid their questions and stares. One day, they all woke up and discovered Ichabod had left without a word. No one bought his, supposedly haunted, house, and the rumors about him persist, some new others old. The strangest one by far: Percival's eyes were locked deep away in the house. Now as useless as Ichabod's.
