God, I hope I don’t butcher this and make you guys wave pitchforks at me or something.
Anyways, I figured I’d post an Introduction post, even if nobody reads it. I am, after all, extremely boring. >.>
My real name is Kayla, but I prefer Tilani (or some nickname of that: Tilly/Tili seems to be popular) or something other random nickname. I’m really not very picky~
I’ve been roleplaying for like seven years or so, off and on. I’m kind of sketchy about it, and I get bored easily.
Pretty much the most important thing to note about me is that I’m rather shy at first so if I don’t reply to you, it’s not that I’m being rude. I’m just worried you’ll try and eat me. But once I loosen up, I’ve heard I can be quite pleasant.
Um, I’m really into anime. Like “WHOACAN’TSLEEPMUSTREADWATCHSTAREATOGLE” kind of into it. XD I read anime, watch manga, and watch the musicals whenever I can, even if I understand a grand total of five words of Japanese. Lol. Even my current avvie is from one of my current favorites: Black Butler. My other favorite is D. Gray Man.
-is well aware that probably nobody has an idea what she’s talking about-
Moving on: I’m from Texas. No southern jokes, yesyes? And no, I don’t have the drawl. (I think.)
Ahhh, yeah. That’s about it. I don’t mind questions, so if you want to know how many minions I plan on having if when I take over the world, feel free to ask. I don’t bite. Much.
And, um, I’m sorry if I bored you to tears. I didn’t mean to. <.<

Ello Tili! =D First off, you're not boring. I, for one, love introductory posts... They're fun xD I used to be into manga and anime. A lot. A couple years ago. Mainly Naruto, and whatever my brother was into at the time. I just kinda fell out of it, I guess. Started reading other books, real books, and just... stopped. I like to sneak into my brother's room and steal a manga book and skim through it every now and again though > No southern jokes it is. *nodnod* I'm from what I consider the south too. I live in Tennessee. But my mom's family... Jeez, I've never meet ANYONE as redneck as them. Still love them to death. And I don't deny I'm kinda country too. Oh. Yeah. My name's Sammi, by the way. *shakes hands* Nice to meet you! Again. xD I've been RPing for maybe two and a half years now. I read a lot, listen to music, play guitar, and [rarely] ride horses, AND of course surf the web, AND play with the pets and baby the cat [he's such a prick - I love him to death.] Very nice to meet you! =D *bows*

Boring? HAH. Okay. Moving on. I got a friend who reads D.Grey Man. My school is really multi-cultural. [No kidding. White is the minority] and we have a lot of asians. So i'm actually really familiar with manga/anime/whatever you call it. I've heard both and i don't know what the difference is between them. My school is so melting pot, because i'm from SoCal. Yes. Moody, hot-tempered California. [The weather changes everyday. Yesterday. 10mph winds. Today, i prepared with a ton of jackets, socks, hats, the whole deal. It was freakin' hot. No wind. No cold. California is a bi-polar sadist.] My real name is Alice. I use to hate it as a kid, cause it was really girly. Now i like it. I go by August or Taters here. I bet i can beat you in a shy contest! Really. I can. As previously stated, i aspire to grow up and be a hermit. [Not really. I'd rather not, but the outcome is inevitable.] My hands are shaking again. D: It's good to have you in ECS, Fairest! Or Talli. Or Kayla. Or whatever you prefer. I can't wait to get to know Jonathon.
Another annoyingly short paragraph: I still have mathhomework.. so... Have fun roaming our playground! [I always call ECS as a school. [You'll also find out that i use a lot of annoying little brackets. Like.. everywhere.]]

They are fun. I don't do them a lot, simply due to the fact that I suck at talking about myself. xD
Ahh, Naruto. I'm pretty sure people who don't like anime like Naruto. I for one don't like it anymore, simply due to the fact that the manga sucks nowadays. Even though I still read it weekly I don't know if you've ever seen Bleach, but its also really great. The Karakura arc kinda sucked, but it's still really good. lol
I read plenty of 'real books' as well. xD I'm pretty much on first name basis with the librarians at my school's library. I mostly read fictiony stuff, though that's where my pickiness ends. I'll read pretty much anything as long as its interesting. Historical, fantasy, horror, romance, comedy, you name it. xD
I know what you mean. I have a lot of rednecks in my family. I find it amusing, since I'm very much a city girl and they're really...not.
Nice to meet you, Sammi. What kind of music do you listen to? I listen to everything except classical. I'm serious, I have Irish riverdance, Cellos, Heavy metal, songtracks to several kinds of movies or musicals, and three different kinds of Japanese music on my mp3 player. xD
I've ridden a horse exactly once and I was terrified the entire time (it didn't help that the lady told me the horse I was riding didn't like anybody but her riding him: apparently he was a biter.)
D. Gray Man is amazing. You have really hot longhaired jerks with pretty swords, a sincerely 'nice-guy' protagonist, hot chicks left and right, and Satan as the big bad enemy. I'm serious, look: He's the fat guy in the middle of the panel on the left with the top hat in his hand.
I've always understood the difference between anime and manga being this: anime is more reserved for the animated shows based on the manga, which is the drawn version put into volumes of books. Does that make sense? -scratches head-
That sounds like Texas! Yesterday it was biting cold, I put on my heavyduty jacket and jeans and my thick Jack Skellington slippers and today I can go out in a tanktop and pajama bottoms.
A hermit, huh? I want to be a pastry chef myself. My ultimate goal is to own and run my own dog-friendly bakery. xD
Meh, Tilani, Talli, or Tili is fine. I'm not picky much.
And thank you! I'm happy to be here. Jonathon is so much fun to play due to the fact he's so mellow and whatnot. I actually posted a thread a day or two ago, I'm just itching to roleplay now. ♥ Though I'm probably going to be making a profile featuring the sexy bastard in my siggy. xD
Math homework? Sounds fun. -is a math nerd- [[Pffft. I don't know what your talking about. Brackets are amazing.]]

*runs in late* Sorry everyone! I made it, but just barely...my calculus homework was eating my favourite pairs of jeans...again. *rolls eyes* Anyways.....
I'm Melissa, aka Mel and though I tried really, really hard I googled it I didn't understand half of the anime/manga stuff you were talking about!! No matter, it's not like I have enough time for that right now anyways. *gives depressed university student sigh*
Pleased to meetcha Talli (that's what Ima call you ^^) I'm from Canada....specifically Ontario. Er, Ontario, Canada. And I do admit to saying eh a lot more than is completely healthy. And while you southern-living-people have your bi-polar weather down there, ours is simply polar. Actually *looks out window* it's snowing right now. Again.
Well, welcome to ECS Talli I hope you have fun here! Now I must take a break from calculus to go out and play in the snow! I'll talk to you later, eh? *waves bye bye*

Nice to meet you! And Talli is perfectly alright. xD
Do you mean you don't understand what it is or what the specific manga/animes are? If its the former, I might be able to help. Wiki's article is freaking complex.
Basically, manga is Japanese comic books in the most simple terms. They are usually 150-200 pages per volume and are completely hand-drawn. The person who draws it is known as a mangaka ('ka' I believe signifies expertise and authorship), though they may have assistants who will help them meet deadlines.
If a manga is popular, then it may be picked up for month or weekly publication in a larger magazine. Kuroshitsuji and D. Gray Man are monthly publications, while Naruto and Bleach are weekly publications.
Manga is usually characterized by large eyes, big (occasionally odd-colored) hair, and exaggerated movements and features.
Does that help? I tried to keep it simple...ish. xDD;;;
Oooh, snow. I've only ever seen it a handful of times, but everytime I do I want something hot. Like my favorite hot drink: hot cocoa with a little bit of vanilla and whipped cream on top, sprinkled with cinnamon. It's amazing. Mmm~
Have fun out in the snow~!

Wow. *doesn't wanna re-read through all the posts to address every little conversation* Erm. You, fairie [ ], asked what music I liked, right? Well, hmm... Rock, old rock, new rock, country, mainly the older artists, none of that new partially country partially rock crud that's so popular now a days... *feels old* D= I can't help it if I grew up around the oldies!! Since when does homework eat jeans? xD The jeans would pwn the homework.... *imagines an epic battle of jeans and homework* Yeah. Jeans win. Automatically. And Taters just might win a medal for being shy. We love her for it xD Wait until you're closer to her. Then she's a firecracker. It's snowing there, Mel?! D= No fair. I want it to snow here. It snows rarely here, but when it does... It's either half an inch or a foot and a half [WITH a layer of ice on top! [and it hurts.]] Ha. Spoiled horse xD And my brother has Bleach! He loves it. I'll pick it up next time I'm in there and check it out. Hope I addressed anything addressed to me... xD Braindead. Stupid History test over things I didn't know... *is sure she flunked it* Well, flunked by my standards. Which is a C or lower xD

MY TURN. I LIKE FOLK. [Don't judge me.] I like Alternative too. I guess that's more normal.
I'VE READ BLEACH. Almost up to date. I've missed the last 5 updates, i think. I only got into it because a friend of mine was into it, and i just wanted something to talk about. *shrugs* I ended up drawing tons of pictures for her of the characters, and ended up getting "hired" by a boy that found out i drew them for her. He'd overpay me, because he's too nice. :T
That's the only one i've ever read though. [Useless Brackets]
Thomas Harper's face claim is actually the singer of Radiohead, Thom Yorke. [Well, now they're called Atoms for Peace, but.. i just can't stop calling them Radiohead.] They use to be called On a Friday, but that was before they got famous. I really like the name Thom.
Oh. And Ichabod's face claim, Ryan Gosling, apparently sings too. In "Dead Man's Bones" I used him for his face, but got a favorite band out of it. <3 Oh. And. *waves shiny shy metal around* WHAT NOW. IMMA FIRECRACKER~
I like real books better than Manga, only because there's more words. I read a lot, and i use to stick to teen fiction, but that got cliche fast for me. Now i stick close to classics. After all, they're classics for a reason. My favorite book is probably "All Quiet on the Western Front". It's so.. moving. In my book, Harry Potter is a classic. I haven't had the time to read recently, because school is determined to eat me alive [or something equally terrible] and i've just been dying to have free time.
I WANT TO REPLY TO YOUR POST SO BAD. But my teachers swamped me with two speeches i have to memorize, and they still give me regular homework. [Speaking about speeches, i have to give one tomorrow. Poem Recital. [mandatory, might i add. This is not a fun thing i volunteered for. This is an assigenment.]] I was even going to have you meet Thom and all his social awkwardness that amazing turns out charming. D:
I just know someone's going to reply before i do. *despair*
