Evan had a lot to think about. His mind was buzzing and pounding with a huge headache and his jaw still felt very out-of-place from his run-in with his much taller and stronger half brother. He needed somewhere to think, in peace and quiet. He settled for the basement under Uncle Sam's Pizza Pies. He knew of the place and could access it as often as he wanted, as long as Uncle Sam knew firsthand. It had all started with Evan stealing food from the basement a long time ago, and had developed to a friendship between the two. Sam knew Evan sometimes needed somewhere to think things through, and so had offered the basement as the place for it. After notifying Sam, Evan headed down to the basement and found the table he usually sat on. Getting comfortable, he examined the contents of the basement swiftly.
It appeared that Sam was low on stock - a lot of the metal rack shelves that usually were overflowing with items were mostly empty. Reaching out a foot, he pushed just to watch it roll a few feet away then stop. Then he turned his mind to his problems. First of all, his half brother. What was he going to do about that goon? Every time Evan thought about the man, he wanted to hurt him. For some unknown reason. Maybe, if the guy hadn't called him a French scum..? It might've been different. Still, it wasn't. He needed to deal with it. But he didn't know how.
There was also the problem of his suddenly new relationship with Anthony. He knew he had really meant the words 'I love you' when he said them to Ant, and not in a just brotherly way. Evan had never cared for guys like he did his women, but Ant had changed that. It was too uncomfortable to think about. Turning his mind back to his half brother, he stared into space, back to the basement entrance. Not sure what in the devil's name he should do about anything.

When Tomo woke up, he found himself yet again in that same restaurant, but this time he remembered straight away why he had been lying out cold with a black eye and a cut on his forehead. He had needed some fresh air and decided to go walking through the town. But, once he was outside his mind was taken from fresh air when he smelled a very delicious smell, remembering he had not eaten the night before. He spotted the source of his distraction: Uncle Sam's Pizza Pies. Odd name.. he thought to himself, but shrugged and walked through the door anyways.
Tomo looked at the interior of the building, and noticed there was no one there, yet the door was unlocked. He heard someone shuffling around downstairs, probably the an employee getting some supplies from downstairs in the basement. He decided to meet the employee down stairs and find out about the food. Tomo pushed open the door that led to the basement but only found a small bathroom that smelled revoltingly of urine. What the freak? Since when do... oh this is a bathroom, not the basement. Tomo walked out the door and shook his head to clear his thoughts.
He went to the real basement, and walked down the stairs carefully. He threw open the door a little too hard because it went crashing into the wall and shattered the little glass window. Tomo winced as little shards of glass went flying into his exposed skin. He looked around the basement and saw the person he wanted me the least... no most. "You!" Tomo glared at Evan reproachfully, sizing him up.

Evan had put his forehead in his hands and his elbows on his thighs when the shattering of glass came from behind him. He whirled, jumping off the table and stared at the newcomer. Oh, great. Just the man he had been dreading to see. Evan sneered at him. "Finally awake, are you, you big lummox?" He spat at the guy. They might have been some distance apart, but Evan was a good shot, and it landed squarly on the other guys' forehead. Instead of waiting for an answer, Evan turned his back on his half brother. He couldn't believe the words that had just slipped from his lips. If he had learned anything from that five minutes meeting with the man, it was that he could be beaten to a pulp any second. Well, said a sly voice in his head, You can always outrun him. Go. Now. You know you're gonna get hurt. So why not change into a coyote? Why not flee? C'mon, you know you want to.
Evan snarled to himself. No! he shouted back. I will not run like a chicken! I will fight him if it comes to it, but I'll try not to. I'll try not to... He turned back to his half brother and tried a small smile. "I'm sorry, that was uncalled for," he said, with forced politeness. "I didn't catch your name last time we met." Even though he tried to push it down, he wanted more than anything to run. His brother, more than a foot taller than Evan, and much more muscular, was probably going to pound his face in and leave him down here to bleed. His heart skipped a beat, but, as usual, he hid his fear with that goofy, playful expression he always wore. If he showed no fear, maybe the guy would be less tempted to fight. If he showed no scorn, or hate, maybe they could talk this through. I'm angry at his father, not him. I'm not going to take this anger out on him if I can help it.

Tomislav looked at the way Evan sneered at him hatefully. Part Tomo want to comfort his brother about their parents and all, but the other part wanted to beat him to a puddle. "Big lummox now, am I?" Tomo growled angrily in his strong, Russian accent. Evan drew the last straw when he spat him. Tomo was ignorant to the apologies the other man gave, only thinking of the way he had dishonored their family, made his father a bad person.
Tomo ran up to Evan and tackled him to the ground, pinning him down by sitting on his chest. He held Evan by his shirt in each hand. He smashed Evan to the ground and punched him on the side of the face with both clenched fists, until he was good and bloody. Bloody for what his mother and father did. Tomo stood up and turned his back away from Evan, and realized he was covered from his brother's blood, and spat it out of his mouth, near Evan's head.

Evan tried desperately to fend off his half brother, but it was impossible. The man was twice as big as him and twice as strong. His head whipped side to side as he was punched hard. He felt several places in his face break. His nose broke, and blood gushed everywhere, choking him. He was sure both cheekbones were broken and his jaw was fully broken now. He felt like passing out.
When his brother finally got off him, he didn't move. At first, he didn't have the energy, and was thankful that he wasn't dead. Evan peeked one eye open, the one that wasn't swollen shut not, and watched the man for a second. Then he rolled over on his side and spat two teeth out. Standing, he tackled his brother from behind, hoping to wrap an arm around the other's throat and cut off his air supply. Not long enough to kill him but long enough to make him go unconscious. Evan knew he should have pretended to be unconscious and not gotten up again until his nameless half brother was gone, but he really, really wanted to hurt the guy now. He wanted to hurt that guy, he wanted to make it to where you couldn't understand the guy's speech because of the Russian accent and the hopefully permanently damaged jaw.

Tomo was taken completely by surprise when his brother attacked him from behind. He staggered forward, his air supply being cut off by Evan, who surprisingly stronger than he'd realized. Tomo hit his head on a metal shelf and felt the blood gushing into his eyes, but he made sure not to go down, because he was sure Evan would over power if he did. He used his last bit of strength and flipped Evan over his head and smashed him hard onto the cement floor, "The name's Tomo, by the way."; he got back down and beat the crap outta Evan, and got up when he was done. Tomo smashed his foot down on Evan's nose and heard a crack. "Now our noses are the same too," he growled at the man.
Tomo knelt down beside him and made sure he really was unconscious this time. After he was sure his brother was knocked out he somehow managed to crawl all the way up the stairs and tumble back outside into the fresh air. He got onto his feet wobbily and half crawled half dragged himself to the back of the store. He sat himself down in front of the dumpster and immediately went back to unconsciousness.
