On The Outside:
Aurelia’s pretty average looking, having the dark black-brown eyes and black hair typical of her Asian (Vietnamese) lineage. She’s built lean because of how often she goes swimming, though her posture can only be described as ‘somebody attaching a plank to her back’. Her hair is wispy and delicate-looking, but whether it really is or not is up for debate.
The woman prefers to cover up every square inch of skin she can, which generally means scarves and trench coats and cargo pants. Despite this, she likes to go barefoot and does so quite often. Wearing a belt, she uses it to hold her machete which she keep with her at all times for self defense.
Aurelia has a lopsided crescent-shaped burn mark to the side of her right eye. She prefers not to talk about it, so it would be wise not to bring it up. As per family tradition, she has a large tattoo of her talisman on her back. She occasionally smokes, so seeing a cigarette in her mouth, lit or not, is not unusual.
On The Inside:
Witty and intelligent, Aurelia was born and bred a hunter. She grew up normally enough in a small country village in Vietnam, so she didn’t have many experiences, if at all, with new people or crowds. This makes her kind of ‘anti-social’ with people, and she sticks extremely close to the traditions she grew up with.
Aurelia is generally untrusting and keeps to herself, which is why not much is known about her. Because of the way she is, not many Hunters even know about her. People sometimes think she’s strange because they are unfamiliar to Vietnamese customs, but take some time to learn them and she’ll like you better. She tends to be protective of the people she does care about, because she was the third oldest of her parent's eight kids, and the oldest girl, so she had to take care of the younger siblings. This gave her what people often call the ‘mommy instinct’.
She always uses the name Aurelia Locke, even if that’s not her real name. It’s hard to get her to smile, but she does occasionally, contrary to popular belief.

History:
Aurelia Locke was really born Rong Viet Mai, which means Dragon of Vietnamese Descent. She was born in a tiny, nameless village in the very heart of central Vietnam. Her little village was in the mountains which were covered in jungles. They were a typical hunting/farming/gathering family, a mom and dad and 8 children.
For 16 years, Aurelia lived a normal life in the small village. Throughout her childhood and early teen years she had always been restless, which was considered good because she didn’t mind hard labor. She liked to fish the most, catching all kinds of things to bring home.
But when she turned 12, she began to have reoccurring dreams about a large lizard. At first they were foggy and unclear, but then they began to become sharp and vivid as she grew older. The lizard, she found, was a Komodo Dragon. When, at 14, she found that she could actually transform into a Komodo Dragon, she freaked out completely and told her parents. Finally, her mother and father told her what her older siblings have known all along. The Mai family were hunters, the very instincts and knowledge born and bred into their blood and bones generation after generation.
After training for a three years within the village but often going to different parts of Vietnam to complete missions, her parents decided that she was simply gifted with more power then they were. On her 17th birthday, they sent her away to travel the world to better train and hunt down Innocents.
A series of slightly strange encounters with a young Japanese man lead her to France. He had first caught her eye in Germany at a street party; something was off about him though she didn’t know what. The feeling was apparently mutual and they pretty much avoided each other for the whole affair and she didn’t see him again in Germany after she left. Then they met again in Albania, where they saw each other on the streets. After that, they bumped into each other in France, where Aurelia almost knocked him over when she wasn’t paying attention at a street market.
They didn’t exactly see eye-to-eye straight away since they were both suspicious of one another. Their personalities were also very different, Aurelia being serious and composed while he was lenient and silly. Anyways, they were both sort of suspicious since they kind of felt a certain ‘glow’ from one another, held by the thought that the other had a talisman.
Eventually they got over it and became friends of sorts, though they were an odd pair to behold. She found that his name was Satoshi Ando, though he said that ‘Reyes’ was fine too. Their friendship held for a few days until she was seemingly attacked without provocation by a guy she had never even met. He had managed to injure her pretty badly before she was finally able to chase him off, but her injuries required hospitalization. However, by the time she was okay enough to walk again, Reyes had seemingly disappeared off the face of the earth. He no longer responded to phone calls or e-mails and never said anything about leaving, which was pretty strange to her.
She soon after made some changes to herself. She switched her name to Aurelia Locke for reasons only known to her. She acquired a crescent-shaped burn mark somewhere along her journey, it seems of great significance to her and also kept secret. During her travels she had also picked up the habit of smoking, the talent of knife-throwing and a very sharp humor. And, though Aurelia is not very active in hunting down Innocents, when she does catch one, she prefers to be rid of him or her.
When she landed in Noatak, a little Canadian town, she met up in a one in a billion chance with Reyes again.
