Gender: Female

What's Your Cover?~
Appearance:
Light, honey colored eyes matching the white skin that borders then. Dark, black hair borders her face, long, cut below the ribcage, the texture of silk. Her build is that of a healthy hour-glass shape; wide hips, broad ribcage, a larger-than-modest bust, and a waist not too thin, nor too thick.
As far as clothing goes, she would be called a "Goth," dressing in mostly black, with boots up to the knees. She is usually wearing a nicely-fitting corset layered over a thin longsleeved shirt beneath, the top often matched with dark, thin pants or a skirt with black tights.
Personality:
It will take a while to gain the trust of this kind young lady, but once that trust is gained, you will have a friend for life. Though loyal to friends, and kind towards many, she has a terrible temper.
She is a friendly, social girl, but can slip right under your nose without you ever knowing. This skill is coupled with the fact that she remains calm under pressure.
Kalena is protective, especially of her belongings, friends, and small children. However, she is not a leader-- a follower, you would say. If the person giving orders is an ally, she will obey commands instantly. There are several times she will hesitate, especially if the ally tells her to attack a friend.
In the presence of other Innocents-- or her father, whom knows of her transformations --she may transform into her canine form and chase her tail if bored.

History:
Kalena was born in Bristol, Virginia-Tenessee. Her mother hailed from Hawaii, whereas her father was full-blood Cherokee, named Nahuel, from North Carolina. They had two children before Kalena; a pair of twins, Jacob and Jason. She got along well with the two for most of her life, however, one day her mother went to take them to school, and they wrecked in the middle of the intersection, colliding with a drunk driver.
Kalena was left with only her father; eight years old, without a mother or her sixteen-year-old brothers.
She lived for several years alone with her father. In this time, he taught her about the Cherokee-- she drank in every word he said, always interested when he started the lectures. One day, he told her of a PowWow that would be held soon-- she insisted he take her, and when the day came, they went straight to the PowWow.
There, Nahuel gave her the money to buy some things; the first thing she saw was the Totem of a Domestic Dog. It gave off a powerful energy, but others passed by it, feeling nothing from the totem...
The ten-year-old girl picked up the totem, holding the wooden item in her small palms, almost lost in its detail, the pulsations it gave off...
"Sweetie," her father told her, putting a hand on her shoulder, "Are you going to buy that?"
Kalena looked up, shocked.
"Hmm? Oh, yes." she squeaked, skipping up to the cashier, feeling her father's eyes watching her calmly. "Excuse me, sir?"
The man at the table looked down at her, and smiled. "Yes, little lady, what can I do for you?"
She showed him the totem. "Is this, err.... Safe?"
He laughed-- it was a loud laugh, not mocking, not terrible to listen to... Almost like bells, she noted. "Safe? Of course it's safe, kiddo." He smiled, and ruffled her natural-black hair. His voice lowered to a whisper. "What you feel coming from it... is Energy. It feels strong, doesn't it?"
Kalena nodded, surprised at his knowing.
"That means it's meant for you, specifically. Tell you what, little girl. Since you're so cute, I'll go ahead and give it to you for a discount. How's that sound?"
He tapped her little nose with his index finger, and she giggled, handing him the little totem, as well as the money.
When he handed her back the totem, she felt a rush of "energy", like it belonged with her.
Since this day, she's worn the Totem around her neck on a small chain.
When she turned sixteen, Nahuel and Kalena moved to Noatok; her father got a job as a chef in a local resturaunt, while she works as a waitress. After the two years of living in Noatok, Kalena and her father still work in the resturaunt, and they fit in here more than anywhere.
