CunningWolf
Name: An-qi ‘Ann’ Tsai
Age: 25
Height: 5’5”
Gender: Female
Orientation: Straight
Status: Hunter
Picture:
Still looking.
Face Claim: N/A
Appearance:
An-qi looks, well, almost typically Asian. She has short black hair, cut chin-length, with subtle red highlights. Her eyes are a plain brown, usually framed by a pair of glasses; very rarely does she wear contacts.
She dresses comfortably and practically and has a fondness for strange pants. Like flowery capris. Or jeans embroidered with pink whales.
Personality:
Sarcasm is An-qi’s weapon of choice, be it for humor, for arguments, or for anything in between. She’s a bit of a cynic as well, though she would dearly love to believe that the world doesn’t suck as much as she seems to think. She complains a bit too often and is stubborn, mostly set in her ways. She holds grudges like no other, and her desire to settle things with a direct confrontation can get in the way of her usually logical way of thinking.
That being said, she still finds plenty in life to enjoy: art, music, fencing, archery, good books, and good food. Though a creature of habit, she loves trying new things when she can be bothered to get her lazy self out of the house. She spends quite a bit of time on artwork, not because she needs it to keep herself fed, but simply because she likes to do it. She’s also extremely fond of animals and will go out of the way just to scratch a dog or cat behind the ears.
An-qi finds humor in a lot of things and appreciates a sharp wit. She can be a hard worker when she feels like it; what needs to be done gets done, even if she puts it off until the last minute. She’s book-smart but can be somewhat lacking in common sense and street-smarts.
History:
Born and raised in the United States, An-qi’s life was, well, quite normal—normal by shifter standards, at any rate. She did very well in a public high school and attended an excellent university, where she formed a fast friendship with Onji, a student one year her senior. Somewhere along the way, she discovered that her friend was also a Hunter, which only made them stick closer together.
Only after she graduated with a degree in biology did An-qi discover her talisman, whereupon she promptly tried to migrate with a flock of Canada geese. Needless to say, it didn’t work so well. Still, the discovery of her spirit guide infected her with an irresistible wanderlust, so her plans to stay in university to pursue a career in veterinary medicine were pretty much shot.
She opted to do research instead and spent the next couple of years traveling and studying wildlife. An e-mail from Onji prompted her to head to Noatak and see what the heck was going on over there.
