For all those people out there who have trouble maker longer, better, more detailed post, here are a few pointers.
A longer, more detailed post helps the other person to make better posts as well. You want to give them something to write about, something interesting and something that will help things moving forward. And im not talking about a novel thats 300 words. Im just talking about a post thats something around 150 words. (there is a word count at the bottom of the posts, I suggest you use it)
*Expand your character!. Thats the easiest thing to do. Describe what the character is doing...the flicking twisting motion of the tail, their eyes, ears, where are their paws. The more detailed you can be the longer the post. You can also add italics to describe what your character is thinking.
*The sites, sounds and feels. You can also describe with relative ease your surroundings. Is the breeze flowing through the trees? Any bugs crawling around that catch the characters eye? Hot or cold? What kind of trees and brush are you around? This will help the other RP-er to paint a picture of where you are so they too can include that into their own post.
*Random is as random does. By random I mean creativity. If the post is slowing down and neither of the posters has anything to pick things up again, try to add something new. If you are two lions talking and the conversation is growing dull...try adding another one of your own characters into it. Or add a group of hyenas (although no god-modding...do not take on the role of the hyenas...just say vaguely what they are doing) Doing this will give both posters something new to write about.
