HAVE YOU HEARD OF THE NIGHT WORLD?
Probably not. Because if you have, you're either one of them, or you'd be dead already. You see, the Night World isn't a place. It's all around us. It's a secret society of vampires, werewolves, witches and other creatures of darkness that live among us. They're beautiful and deadly...and irresistible to humans...
Before the second millennium, there had been four worlds - four periods of time where one species or another has reigned over the world. The Fourth World had been ruled by humans, who were blissfully ignorant of the darkness around them. By the end of the Fourth World, a prophecy came to the Night World's attention:
