Jocelyn, or Jo as most call her, sat at her favorite booth sipping on her root bear looking down at her slice of pizza. She came here often to have a quick lunch and to relax listening to the juke box. In fact she came here so often she got to know uncle sam really well. She took a bite of her cheese pizza and looked around. Her light auburn hair down and wavy around her shoulders, her green eyes scanning the room.
She noticed a new girl working here, serving some drinks a few tables down. She was shorter than Jo, with dark hair and was polite to the customers. Jo watched her for a moment, wondering who she was. She was still looking for people who wanted to help her track down and defeat the Hunters. She needed someone who had skills, or at least was a quick learner. Jo was semi-new in this town and hadn't found anyone that she thought could be good enough for the job. She sipped her root bear, still watching the new girl.

Kali walked around the table, balancing the drinks on the round tray with ease. "That's a... Sprite for you," she said, setting it down in front of a young girl. "A Coke for you," she placed it down beside a boy that wasn't much older than the other child. He must have been her brother, Kali assumed. "An iced tea for you, and a glass of water." she finished, placing the last two drinks in front of the parents and tucking the tray under her arm like a book. "Is there anything else that I can help you with?" she asked sweetly.
"Nope, we're good for now, thanks." they said.
"Okay, I'll come and check on you in a little bit and see how you're doing." the girl said, and stepped back into the kitchen to clean the tray and place it back in the stack that rested upon the wooden counter. When she was finsihed she stepped back out with her pen and note pad, ready to serve more customers. But it wasn't very busy today, and all had been served. Kali looked around and spotted a young lady sipping a rootbeer. She walked over to her table and asked, "Would you like a refill on that, Ma'am?"

Jo paused in mid drink and laughed awkwardly. No Ma'am...its Jocelyn. but yeah a refill would be great... she glanced at her name tag, Kali. She wanted to start a conversation, but knowing she was at work didnt say much and let her do her job. But Jo would definitely keep her eye out for her, seeing as the town is not huge. She wiped her mouth with a napkin and watched the girl for a minute, she appeared to be a bit older than she was. Jo couldn't help but wonder what her past was like, where she came from, or what her talisman was, if she had found it yet...she might be a seeker. But all these things pulled and tugged at jo's mind.

"Alright, Jocelyn." Kali said smilng, and took her drink back to the kitchens. She turned the corner and held the glass under the fountain and pressed the button that read "Rootbeer" and filled it up. She put some fresh ice cubes in aswell, and brought it back to the lady. "Is there anything else I can help you with?" she asked. Kali liked work today. Although not very many people were here this afternoon, it was nice. Usually the restaurant was packed at this hour, and it was kinda calming to just have a few families in here and not having to run around in a loud place.

Thanks. She smiled at the girl and tilted her head to the side. so...kali, where you from? She didn't want to be rude and nosy, but she couldn't help wondering, and wanting to learn more about her. She folded her used napkin and placed it on top of her now empty plate, sliding it a few inches away from her...a small sign that she was finished and wanted the bill. She was sure to give kali a big check. I haven't seen you around before, you knew? She asked, wondering if the girl needed a place to stay, she knew of several places and could give kali a number if she needed it.

"Nowhere, really." Kali shrugged. "I think I'm from around these parts. This town is were I've spent my life so far." she said, and smiled. "It's a nice town, this one." Then she kind of nodded and shook her head at the same time. "I'm kind of new here. This is my third week, so not really." Kali said. "You are from around here, aren'tcha? Uncle Sam says your his favorite customer. But I didn't tell you that." said the girl, and picked up the empty plate. She would bring it to the kitchens in a moment. It would be rude to leave a conversation.

Jo laughed a bit, His favorite huh? Well thats just cuz i come here practically every day, give him a lot of business you know? She paused for a moment, pulling a strand of auburn hair behind her ear, Do you have a place to stay? I mean if you've been here almost 3 weeks you should, but in case you don't, i know a lot of places. Just stay away from the mansion.. She paused, maybe she shouldnt have said that...she didnt know what the girl knew about Hunters. She tried to cover it up a bit, They are just really mean, is all. she took a quick sip of her root beer hoping the girl would just move on.

"I've already got a place to stay. Thanks though." said Kali. Her jaw clenched for a moment as she spoke of the home of the Hunters, the men who had killed her parents and left her without a family for her whole life. "They are wretched beasts..." she grumbled under her breath. Her expression returned to her peaceful manner, Kali not really wanting to talk about the problems of her past with some poor customer who was just being nice and starting a conversation, but her eyes still shown her anger with those spoiled aristcrats that lived in that huge building, torturing people. She cleared her throat. "I'm going to take this to the kitchen..." she said, lifting the plate slightly. "Do you want me to bring you the check now?"

Jo saw, right there in the girls eyes was hatred. that was all she needed to see. Hey...I'm um...starting a, i don't really know what you would call it, group I guess...but I'm trying to track the Hunters down, if you're interested. she then nodded and handed Kali some cash, for she new what it would come out to be since she came here so often. If you do wanna help, get rid of them, heres my number and i live in an apartment in pine street manor. She gave her a card that had her information on it. She hoped Kali would like to help, for she really needed help and didnt want to do it alone. Just out of curiosity, whats your talisman? She looked at Kali, she hoped it was something useful that would help destroy the Hunters.

A smile came to the girl's face. "Absolutely." she said. Nothing could change her mind from joining this group or whatever. Not even the Hunters. She would do anything that she could to help. "Sign me up!" she took the information and read it over quickly, and put in her jeans pocket. Then she passed the cash through one of the kitchen windows. "Put this in the register, Tom. Please." she said, and a hand came up to the window and took it, then there was the sound of a metal drawer being opened, and the boy placing the bills in the correct places. "It's a cougar." Kali whispered, as if the Hunters could have been in the very room. She very rarely, if at all, spoke of her talisman. She didn't know if it was a secretive thing or not. She had never spoken of it to any of the children at the orphanage, save for Damian, and that was it.

Jo smiled, she finally had someone to help her track that vermin down! Now she was heading somewhere. But they needed a safe place to meet, away from people and somewhere thats not too noticeable. You're the only person I have helping me so far, when do you get off? Because we need to find a place to meet in secret. She opened her purse and took out pen and paper, I got a good place, do you know of the old cabin in the woods? No one really goes there, and if they do its easy to hide. Meet me there when you get out of work. And if you see a white cat with odd eyes, thats me. She smiled at the girl, a big smile and through down a ten dollar bill on the table, For tips.

"I get off at five." she said. "The cabin in the woods? Sure, I can meet you there." Her eyes went wide at the ten dollar bill. She hadn't been expecting a tip at all, much less ten dollars. All Kali had done was refill her drink. But she wouldn't refuse it. "Thank you, Ma'am." she said greatfully, and placed the ten dollar bill in her pocket. That was two hours worth of pay. "All I did was get you a rootbeer..." she laughed slightly behind her words. This was the biggest tip that she had ever gotten.

Jocelyn nodded, meet you there at 5 and we'll talk. she picked up her purse and smiled at Kali again, I'm so thrilled to finally have someone to help me track these suckers down, ive been sneaking around gathering as much info I can and I can't wait to share it with you. She smiled one more time but this in a more evil mischievous way. she really was glad to have someone to share this all with, she had been getting pretty lonely lately, doing stake outs with no one to talk to, gossip to or fight with. This would be fun!

"Cool!" said Kali. She couldn't wait to learn more about the people who had killed her parents. Maybe, with a bit of luck, she could even track down the individuals who did the crime twenty three years ago. It would take a lot of luck, but this was the first step. "Alright. I'll see you there!" said the girl. But for now, she had to get back to work and check on the other customers. She waved a good-bye to Jocelyn, and trotted back over to the other tables. "How are you guys doin'?" she asked. "The food good?"
