Jo nodded, It is in pretty good shape. She looked around at all the old stuff, thinking of Kali's question, Hunter, Innocent or a harmless Seeker? I don't know who they were, but it would be ironic if they were Hunters, using their old home as our hide-out to hunt them down. But it must be really old, I wonder what year they lived here. It must be at least 50 years ago, maybe more. She tapped the tank and heard a deep sound, not a light higher sound as if it was empty.
Does gas get old? She asked as she reached forward to think about turning the knob. She hoped it didn't cause any explosion, she didn't know anything about old gas...or gas at all really. She turned the knob to see what happened. Nothing. She turned it off. Tried it again, nothing. But she smelled something, she leaned down and sniffed, gas! Are there any matches around? I forgot, we need to use a match, I'm so used to it lighting the fire on its own.

"It doesn't get old." said Kali. "But it does settle out. Try shaking the gas tank. I'll look for some matches." the girl rose and looked around. She walked over to the table and lifted up the snack bags, hoping to see a box of matches hiding beneath them, but there were none. She set them back down and went over to the fireplace, searching the shelf above it for something. No luck. She walked over to the table that sat before the fireplace. A coffee table. Nothing was lying there either. "How did you start the fire?" Kali finally asked her. "I can't find any matches."

Jo stood up straight suddenly. DAH! She laughed at herself for being a bit stupid. She walked over to the fire and with her elemental abilities, slowly lifted a small candle size flame from the fireplace. She slowly started to walk over to the stove, candle flame on one hand. She used her free hand to shake the tank and then slow turn the knob. She brought her other hand down and using her fingers place the small flame near the opening where the gas came out. Immediately it jumped into a bigger flame and went around the circle of the stove. She smiled. Im not really used to using my powers all the time. I always forget about them. They dont make me feel normal. She looked down at the stove now heating perfectly. Now all we need to get is dozens of different types of foods that we can make on the stove. And with that sher turned to stove off since they had nothing to make.

"I can get meat." Kali said happily. "And I can pick up some stuff from the grocery store." The girl watched the stove. "Can you use fire without drawing it from another flame?" she asked, looking back at the fireplace. If Jo could use fire like that, then burning down a Hunter's house wouldn't be so difficult. Then something else came to Kali's mind. Something she didn't like. "What about the police?" she asked. "Yes, Hunters are criminals and murderers, but they are people too. If we kill them, we'll be marked as criminals too, if we're caught."

Jo thought about it. She had never tried to do something without it present. earth and air were easy, it was all around, water was pretty easy for the air had moisture in it, but fire? I don't know, I've never tried it. I guess I could try it. It might take some practice, but what better place to practice than in our hide out? She asked smiling a bit.
As for the police men...Most of them are Hunters, not all but most. So I think they will help cover our tracks, but only to cover theirs. You know? But yes, you are right we will have to be careful. We don't want to get caught if we do those Hunters will surely have us if they are cops too. We'll have to plan things that could be labeled as accidents.

"We could leave an ash-tray in the home of the man who keeps his kitchen window open." Kali suggested. "I think that that would be accident enough." Then she thought. "And maybe we could befriend the Innocent police. We could be like unofficial cops." she laughed at her own idea. "Then we could trap the cops that are Hunters, and they could help us." But the question was, how could they befriend the Innocent cops? Surely, they would be bound by law to arrest them. Maybe Kali's idea wouldn't work. Maybe, the Innocent police and them, would have to be enemies within an alliance.

Jo wasn't sure. Maybe cut a small hole in the wire for the gas...then it looks like it broke and just in case put an ashtray with some ashes in it somewhere in the house. As for the cops..I have no idea, for some reason I don't think they will believe us, they never seem to . Stupid cops. She laughed for everyone seemed to bash the cops, everywhere not just in this town. But I think the kitchen window guy will be an easy one. The other we will have to take more of a risk and it will be more dangerous.

Kali shook her head. "Knives cut smoothly. They'll be able to tell that it was cut. Maybe we could get a mouse to chew through it." she suggested. The girl thought for a moment, then sighed. "Then we'll have to do without the cops." Kali placed another grape in her mouth and chewed on it thoughtfully as she dusted a few more things around the cabin. "We should think of a way to get more people." she said. "We're still outnumbered with three. They have a whole mansion full of people." And that brought on another question. "What about the Innocents that they've captured? How can we tell them apart from the Hunters?"

Jo shook her head, I don't know, from what I've heard they make you a slave...so wouldn't you have that slave, blank almost zombie look? And I'm guessing for security reasons they still wouldn't let them run amok through the mansion. There should be something about them that will make them know. i hope anyways. I think that is something we might just have to wing it once we get there. But you're right about the knife...maybe something bumpy or with serrated edge. she giggled at the idea of getting a mouse to do it. But what if she turned into her cat formed, What If I turned into my talisman, my cat and chewed on the wire? Cougar teeth are too big but not a domestic cat..after all he leaves that window open and any animal could sneak in and chew those wires. she gave an devilish grin.

"We can't base off of guessing though. We'll have to do some spying and find out for sure." Kali said. She didn't want to hurt one of her own people. "You could chew the wires if you want to," she said, thinking logically, "But you'd have to do it quickly. Try not to get electricuted or gas in your mouth, whichever wire you end up chewing." she said. Kali was amazed at how much planning had to go into something like this. There was the issue of if the man had children, avoiding the police, making it look accidental, getting into the kitchen without him seeing, chewing the wires, lighting the fire, making sure that he was in the house to begin with, and, of course, getting away before the house explodes. All of it seemed so much like something out of a movie that Kali laughed. "We're like spies." she said.

Jocelyn laughed too, Bond, James Bond. She laughed harder when she tried to do his deep spy voice. She had to clutch her stomach for her muscles were getting sore from laughing so hard. As she calmed down she nodded her head, We will find out somehow what makes them different. Try to snoop around when you leave here, at work, but be careful how you ask those questions, you dont want to draw attention to yourself. I'll try to snoop around the mansion in my talisman form. See what I can see or find out by listening to the guards. Oh yeah, I forgot, they have guards around the perimeter. That will make it more tricky. Jo couldnt believe she forgot about those, those were really important pieces of information.

"Okay." Kali said. "I can do that." She laughed at the James Bond joke. She looked around the cabin once more. Everything had pretty much been dusted, and the decisions had been made for now. "Now what do we do?" she asked. There wasn't much left to decide upon, and Kali couldn't think of what it was, if there was any more decisions to make. She looked back at the photograph across the room, the one that sat above the fireplace. She couldn't help but wonder about the owner. "Why do you think he built this cabin way out here, away from the town and everything?" asked Kali, just being curious.

Jocelyn glanced up at the photo that sat above the fireplace. The light from the flames flickered acrossed it as if it were alive and moving. I have no idea. Maybe something bad happened to make him an angry person, or depressed. Maybe he just didn't like people, or was banished from the town, or really poor. Ideas on things that could have been flashed in and out of her mind, she too was really curious. What if it's the man who had the first talisman hundreds of years ago. She figured it wasnt that, the cabin wouldnt be in this good a condition if it were that old. She sat quietly thinking of all the possible outcomes that could have been.

"I doubt it." said Kali, observing the cabin. It seemed a bit large for just one person. "Isn't there more than one bedroom? Maybe he was living here with his family." The girl moved to go and inspect the hallway that lead to the bedrooms, but she felt an odd chill. It was as if someone had poured ten gallons of ice down her shirt. She shivered, and turned back. "Nevermind, I don't think I'll go up there..." she grumbled, mostly to herself. That was strange... The girl looked back toward the hallway, and then at the picture.

Jo's eyes widened, Maybe he's still here! Like a ghost or something. And there are three bedrooms back there, small ones though. Then there is a little loft attic type thing, storage I'm guessing. Jo was now curious, maybe there was a spirit living here, after all this world was full of them. We should do a like, what are they called? those boards games that can talk to spirits? She giggled quietly thinking about it. That could be fun but it also could be a bit dangerous, some spirits weren't very nice. Do you think we will ever use those back rooms? I think we might, maybe we should fix those up to. She thought about getting someone to knock down the walls so it was two rooms and then put bunk beds in them. In case they had to hide innocents if Hunters were looking for them.
