Jo slowly walked toward the cabin, the stillness always kinda got to her and made her feel uneasy. These woods always made you feel like someone, or something was watching you.She paused in mid step to listen for anything, and just in case she quickly turned in her cat for her sense of hearing was much more attuned and could hear something that human Jo could not. Satisfied, she transformed back into her human formed and proceeded to the cabins front door. The old worn wood creaked under her feet but stayed strong. She opend the door and pulled the latch, Kali could knock, til then she didnt want anyone else to just walk in.
She walked over to where the fire place and put on some logs and lit the match. She pulled up two of the 4 chairs and sat in one starring into the flames becoming almost memorized by their calming affect. she sat and waited until she heard a knock at the door.

Kali roamed about the forest after work. She had a few hours before she had to go to the Night Club, and she was excited for the meeting. The girl was already in her animal form. She didn't want to risk being seen as a human. The hunters were animals too, and she was weary of their vultures, their eagles, their ravens, and their cranes. All of these were everyday creatures, and she would not let herself be seen in human form by any of them for fear they be human, too. She came up to the cabin door and knocked at the bottom of it with one paw. It was almost similar to a scratching noise, except in a popular human pattern of rhythm.

Jo jumped at the sound, not knowing how close it was to the time Kali would get here. She jumped up and looked out the window, pulling the curtain to the side, seeing the cougar Jo smiled. She unlatched the door and swung it up and smiled, Come on in. Nice talisman. she added. She has never seen a cougar before, real or talisman. I made a fire and brought some snacks, didnt know what you like so i got grapes, some doritoes crackers and cheese, juice and coke. Hope thats ok.I come here a lot, made it very homey with all the stuff we need. She walked over to the fire and sat down, pulling out the bag and putting the food on the table. You find this ok?

Kali entered the little shack and transformed back into her human form, happy to finally be at the meeting. "Yeah, that's great, thanks!" said the girl, popping a grape into her mouth happily. Her blue eyes looked around the cabin. It actually looked very nice on the inside. Much nicer than she thought it would be. Then the fire caught her eyes, and she looked at it. It was a brilliant orange color, and the wood crackled and shifted and popped beneath its heat. Kali could even see the bark turning black and white as it burned. But something about it bothered her. "Wouldn't they know that we're here if they saw the smoke from the chimney?" she asked. Kali hoped that the answer would be 'no'. She liked the fire very much.

Jo took a poker and moved the wood around keeping it burning hot, making sparks flew up. No, barely no one knows its here, i found it when i was hiking around. I have never seen any one here, but to make sure I stayed here all weekend once. she laughed, There are 3 beds in the back room, and it would have been fun if i wasnt by myself. So i picked this place as my meeting, hide away sort of thing. she smiled and looked around, I think its kinda cozy, but it definitely still needs a little fix up things here and there, if you have got any ideas.

"Alright." she said. Kali was happy that the fire didn't have to go. "I can fix the roof up a bit." she offered. But right now she wanted to get down to business. She wanted to learn about the Hunters, because right now, Kali knew nothing of them besides the fact that they were murderers and vile men, probably women too, and that they tortured people somewhere in that mansion of theirs. Kali had even heard a scream once when she was passing by. "Let's talk about the Hunters." she said. "What have they been doing?" asked the woman. "Have they killed anyone else?" Kali was sure that they had. There was no way that such barbaric people could go twenty three years without killing someone.

Jo's smiled faded as the Hunters were brought up. They kill many people, but they usually take their time doing it in that big mansion of theirs. What they do, is horrible. They want to build an army to take control...of...of everything. They see that people with their spirit are useful, are weapons. So they, somehow, no on knows how, can force you to be their slave. You become a mindless slave, a zombie, to do their bidding. It is my destiny to stop them, it has been in my family for years. Have you ever heard of the legend of the first talisman? Not many people knew that legend, but unfortunately the Hunters do. So she had to be careful not to show her true identity.

Kali was suddenly glad that her parents had gone the way they did. If they were anything like her, they wouldn't have wanted to be a Zombie. And especially not a slave. "Oh." she said, looking down at her feet for a second, thinking of her mother and father. "No, I've never heard of the legend." Kali answered, glad to change the subject a bit. And she loved a good story. "What is it?" she asked. The girl hopped up onto one of the chairs, sitting down to listen. Her fingers plucked another grape from the vine and she placed it in her mouth.

Jo reached for the crackers and munched while she told the story. Hundreds of years ago the native americans sent one talisman to a white man who was destroying the land, but with the talisman they gave him the power to use the earth's elements. He could use fire, water earth or air to the way he wanted it. Well he took advantage of it. So the Indians continued to send down the talismans to guide us in the right direction but didnt give anyone else the elements. Today, they do not give you the talismans, you are born with them. But the decedents of that white man still somehow retained the earths elements. Im his decedent.
With that she looked at the fire and it suddenly move in a human way. A ball of it floated out and landed in Jo's palm. I can do whatever i want with them, as if I can feel them. she closed her hand and the fire vanished. It has been in my family for generations to track the hunters down and kill them. Now the job has passed on to me. But I cant do it alone. with that she left it to Kali to decide what she wanted to do.

The girl felt her mouth drop as she watched the ball of fire float and vanish. What had started out as just a normal day at work had turned into something completely different. "That was awesome." she said, staring at her hand where the fire had disappeared. "How do we stop them?" she asked. "Maybe we could follow a few of them? Or sneak into that mansion." suggested Kali. "Or we could burn the mansion, if you know how to use fire like that." she was still amazed at what she had seen, and half expected Jocelyn to yell 'Gotcha!' and show her how she had performed such a magician's trick.

jocelyn half smiled, being used that kind of reaction. I don't know how to stop them, kill them one by one by somehow tricking them. I'm not really sure. I have been following a few of them, and i know where two of them live. One keeps the kitchen window open, right by the stove, and I was thinking of slipping in and turning on the gas from the stove. They would never wake up from sleeping, it would be painless. She had given that some thought, she was gonna have to get used to killing people, she just kept reminding herself that they were evil and bad people. We just have to do some research, think about it. you know? No mistakes. Or we die. Or become a mindless slave she thought to herself.

"We don't have to save them from pain." Kali said. She didn't care how much those Hunters suffered. Her parents had suffered, and they could do the same. "We could post fliers somewhere, somewhere that only they'll see them. They could be about anything. A concert, a festival, a party... anything. We could send them somewhere far away, and kill them not too long after they've realized that they've been trapped." the girl suggested. They could kill more of them at a time that way. And she knew that they would be alert after that. That's when, somehow, they could trip them while they were on their toes.

Jocelyn sat there in silence for a minute before speaking again. That could work, but what if we did that, a concert or something, innocents and seekers would be mixed in with them wouldnt they? And if we put something obvious for only Hunters, well that would be...obvious. I think the best way is to track them, find where they live and kill them in the least most noticeably way. That way it gives us a better chance to hide from them for a longer period of time. She grabbed a small bunch of grapes and plopped a few into her mouth, savoring the juices and sweet yet sour taste. She took a sip of juice to wash it all down, looking at the fire to help her with her thoughts.

"Well, we could put the advertisement for the concert or whatever in a fake newspaper, and drop it off at their door." Kali suggested. "And then, once they've noticed that some large group of them has disappeared, they'll send a search party, right? Well, we kill the search party. More of them are dead and missing. They'll start to get worried again, and another search party will come. We kill those too. Pretty soon, there will be the few that are cowardly left in the mansion, and we can just confront them directly." Kali said. "We could track them down, and find out what they like. What do you think?"

Jo had to laugh a little at the girls courage. How do you suppose we kill a large group of Hunters, that are experienced with killing, when its just you and me? We need to find more people to get involved first. For now, until we get more people to help us, I think we should stick to killing one at a time in their own homes. Jo looked at Kali, waiting to see what she though of the plan. Jo had an advantage of having the power of the Earth's elements, but her talisman was not one to kill, a little cat. She could sneak and spy..but not kill in talisman form. She would have to reply on her powers. However, Kali was a cougar, she could kill numerous people in her talisman form.
